Where did you buy it from?

I've played through loads of amps and cabs - loads. I do love the svt sound, but what I have found recently is that svt amps dont always sound great when used with different cabs. Yet, every amp I've played through an ampeg 8x10 cab sounds amazing. (well, in honesty, average on their own but amazing in a band mix). I put my helix and quilter through an ampeg 8x10 fridge last night and it was the best sound I've had for ages. So much so I didnt use the svt head. So, is the ampeg magic actually the cab?

Gees, that is small if its almost half the size of the boss pedal. I love quilter stuff, cant wait for the review.

All par cans are different, but for yours if it's a ledj party- for green, set the following: ALL dipswitches to OFF. Dipswitch 2 to ON. that way everytime you switch on it should be green.

Really Annoyed.....Your thought's please!!!!
la bam replied to thebigyin's topic in General Discussion
Its the same old story.....those who dont try to book the gigs, are always the ones happy to cancel them at the drop of a hat. Ask him to book the gigs, then he'll realise how difficult it is, and think twice about cancelling. -
Oh yeh, the compressor I always thought was fantastic. Really balanced the string output with loss in sound or tone.

The secret with the 800 is to realise the controls work with each other much more than any other amp I've had. Eq aside (which I think is brilliant), you can have gain low and master high for big clean sounds, and gain high and master low for lovely overdrive. I'd imagine the interblock to work similarly.

I had one. Really liked it. Pretty much any sound you wanted and it was very loud. You do need to spend lots of time with it though to work out how it works with all those different volumes, gains and outputs.

How do I cancel selling subscription?
la bam replied to la bam's question in Site Issues and Questions
Yes, apologies, I just assumed it was a selling fee - if it helps the site as well then at that price it's a bargain for a year. -
How do I cancel selling subscription?
la bam replied to la bam's question in Site Issues and Questions
I'll leave it running if it helps support the site. -
I've just received a message saying my selling subscription will soon expire and automatically will try and renew. Does anyone know how to cancel this? Thanks.

Anyone who hasn't gigged with a quilter bass block, needs to forget everything they know about watts equalling volume, and try one. I've just gigged tonight with an 8ohm 4x10 to 200 people in our tribute band and the volume level on the bass block was on 40 watts (so what's that at 8ohm?). Helix stomp was on a custom setting I've made. We trickled the bass through the pa. The blocks are ridiculously powerful units. Not just powerful, but clear and easy to hear Hopefully quilter dont become a victim of their own honesty, and lose sales because people think 40w isnt loud. I'd imagine this new pedal is just an all round swiss army knife tool, and ideal for back up (saves bringing another amp, di, etc if you have pa support). I took 2 amps tonight. Both to try out new settings with. Tried them both before we went on. First was my quilter 800 and helix stomp with a custom svt setting, second was my 400w 12 valve, all valve, 40kg laney nexus tube beast. The quilter and stomp got the gig, on its 40w setting. If I didnt have the stomp, I'd def buy one of these inter blocks for backup. I do think though people get the wrong idea with matching cabs and amps. For me, I'd always take a 4x10 minimum if using a small amp to push more air. Like wise a large amp with a small cab. Trying to use a small amp and a small cab seems to be the worst of both worlds and where all the issues of things not being loud enough come from.

I've considered doing this with either a vt bass pedal or my helix stomp. In theory its be fine, especially using a frfr pa style monitor. But there are 5 of us in the band, and the amount of time we get provided with just 2 or 3 monitors is too risky not to take my amp and cab.

The best ones I've seen, and also the best ones of me, have been taken when I had no idea there was a camera there. Just pure enjoyment captured, rather than forced.

It worked an absolute treat. I used the scan function at soundcheck, selected the best channel given. Then scanned again before start, which gave me a different channel, and it was flawless all night. No drop outs, no loss in sound, just great.

Cheers fellas. I know I theory it shouldn't, but always im paranoid before a gig with new gear. I'll try the valve amp then and take my quilter as backup, and keep a cable handy!

Hi all, I've recently bought a line 6 g75 wireless system. I've tried it around the house and worked out all the controls etc and it works great. I've tried it using my class d quilter and stomp using the headphone socket, as my cab is in storage ready for weekends gigs. I have a gig tonight, and was just wondering (and apologies if this is a really daft question), but will using a valve amp (laney nexus tube) cause the wireless system any problems? I cant test beforehand as I dont have my cab with me (and valve amps need to be connected before turning on) and I have a gig tonight, but it's a double header tribute night and I'm not going to get more than 5 minutes to test anything.

Thanks. Can anyone recommend me a pouch to attach to the strap for a g75 receiver?

Flats on a precision all day long. Records great.

Hi all, Just wondered if anyone could recommend a pedal board? I need to fit the following on: 1. Quilter 800 bass block amp. 2. Line 6 Helix Stomp. 3. Line 6 G75 wireless receiver. 4. 4 way plug unit. and ideally comes with a fitted hard case. and the cheaper the better. Thanks.

Does anyone know if the g75 can be rack mounted? (Even if stuck onto a tray), or does it have to be exposed to pick up signals etc.

Just spoken to pmt in manchester. They're gonna to send me out the adaptor part so I can use the usb cable.
