1. Only if your amp as a blend knob for the fx loop. But that doesn't solve your problem of running bass + synth through the pedal board unless I don't quite get your vision? That Bright Onion box is just a switcher with a level control for one of the inputs by the looks of it, but they do custom work so can make whatever you can dream up.
2. Are you wanting the bass and synth to play through the board at the same time, or flick between them? A Boss LS-2 is flexible enough to cope with both options.
3. Here, a couple of hours ago, to myself!
4.
Pm'd!
I predicted this would happen.
5. Mobile phone stand perhaps?
6. Looky here! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202027923344
7. BTW as a heads up there is the latest 'studio' version of the EBS Octabass up for sale on here for £75, just after I bought a new one too! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/313978-pedal-peddler
8. Not in my experience, there are tons of promoters doing original nights, but they usually specialise in a few genres hence the need for more info!
9. A link to your band page would be useful, especially if you’re after a promoter that can slot you in with bands of a similar genre!
10. I thought the Cali CB was about as transparent as they come! The Super Symmetry rolls off quite a bit of treble apparently, so might not be your bag either.
11. It most definitely does not go between the amp and cab! You would be able to make a passive one that did I expect, but I've never seen one. The only ones I'm aware of are the SFX Thumpinator, FDeck HPF, Broughton HPF, and Tech21 Q-Strip. Also the Mesa D800+ and Quilter Bassblock have variable HPFs (and plenty of other amps have a fixed one but don't advertise it, so you may not need one depending on your amp). I have a Thumpinator but it's not on the board at the moment. But after watching my cones move like they did the other day, I'm going to stick it in a bypass loop and see how much of a difference it makes!
12. If only Trace Elliot would release a modern multi FX pedal with their pre shape, EQ, drive and dual band comp... Oh wait, they have! GAS:ignited
13. I would so love to buy this cab, having recently joined a band and living a couple of miles away! I've just bought a Barefaced 210 though and seriously need to offload some gear to reclaim both cash and physical space!

Have you got an audio interface for recording already? If not, you might be better off with the B3 as you can record directly from the USB output, saving an additional element of digital -> analog -> digital conversion going on!
15. Actually the limit is £15, and that total includes postage, so at £20 you are over the limit: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty If you are unlucky you will have to pay 20% plus an £8 fee. I’d guess you have a 50% chance of getting away with it though!
16. Just upper I think. I bought it hoping I could get a solo octave up out of it, but the blend control is actually an effect level!
17. This looks similar to the one you had if you fancy another! http://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Warwick_Streamer_Stage_I_5_NT_Wide.html
18. How are you finding the Photon II, got a video in the works?
19.
This is quite nice...
I have a ready cut one from WD Music exactly like that, I reckon they use the same supplier.
20. Do you want it for octave up or down? For a simple Digitech octave up with both a volume and tone control for the wet signal, they do the Mosaic pedal. Most likely the same algorithm as the Whammy/Drop/Ricochet. See if you can try one out on your travels, and if you like it, you can buy mine!
21. I've settled on an EBS Octabass now for the band board. Some analog octavers have a really growly midrange that just stands out too much, but this is perfect for just making higher notes sound beefier yet natural. It can track pretty much every note just fine except the low open E and B strings, fretted notes down to C# on the B string are all solid. I've tried a few digital octavers, Bass Whammy, Tender, etc, but I can feel the latency and much prefer the immediacy of analog.
22. I was after a modern sounding P recently and the best sounding one I found was an old 80s MIJ Fender Jazz Special PJ-555... It's actually a P bass with an extra J pickup and a Jazz neck, the pickups are very hot and also very bright sounding. Sounded very different to every other P in the shop, I just had to get it. Then on my way home I spotted a PJ-535 in The Bass Gallery for £450 - well worth a look I reckon, similar bass but with angled pickups. Here's some examples: https://images.talkbass.com/attachments/ab23c7b9-26de-4115-9c23-379d093be0ab_zpsfypnvi09-png.2354544/
23. Trace Elliot Elf or GK MB200 - both will fit in your gig bag, or even your back pocket!
24. Easy enough to just store them on Soundcloud, Dropbox, Onedrive, Googledrive, Box, etc and link to them here for now. But looking forward to see what the new site offers!
25. I’ve gone for putting mine first, but that’s with a low threshold and ratio for general smoothing, and a blend to keep my attack intact. I’m not using an envelope filter but I have tried one after the comp and it’s still perfectly playable. I think using a comp to even out volume levels from other pedals is the wrong application for a compressor. It’s a band aid that makes you ignore the fact your volume knobs just need tweaking, and you can end up with an overly squashed tone because one of your dirt pedals is set too high for example!
