Turned up to play a party at a hotel in Hull on Saturday. When we switched on the first guitarists amp we were deafened by feedback. Did the usual fault elimination stuff but couldnt stop it. Then the same happened when the second one switched on. Thankfully both mine and the PA were fine. Ended up the guitarists DI'd and with guitar in monitors only and no amp volume. Not great but at least we managed to get through. Turned out there was an induction loop in the room which the hotel claimed couldnt be turned off. Does anyone know about these? just thinking what we'd do shoudl it recur (first time i've ever come across this though) Cheers Andy

Will is a great guy. Some nice gear too. Could have chatted for hours had I not had to be out this evening. Bought his Cort acoustic. Good price. Immaculate condition. I'm happy and hopefully so is he. How good is Basschat?

The problem I have with Silverstone is that their product is really good when it arrives and is correctly made BUT always takes ages to arrive, I have had three from them, two were made incorrectly and had to go back. Shaun won't respond to emails or calls, he is a nightmare to work with. I know - I should have learned first time around but I do like the covers.....

We thought about getting PLI after a venue insisted but didnt then lost the gig. The second time we were asked, we decided to get it. Only about £120 PA so not loads, has given us access to hotels and more prestigious venues so is money well spent in my view.

I play a Ricky 4003 and use Schallers. No problems ever Andy

I can but sometimes struggle depending on the song. Mostly can be overcome with a mixture of either slightly dumbing down the bass line or changing vocals a little but am mostly OK Mind you recently tried The Smiths - This Charming Man. I could happily play the bass line OR sing but sadly not both at once. Damn those talented people for whom it's easy!

I have had one of these made by Guy for my Rickenbacker 4003 It was custom made and curves so that it screws on via the Pickguard holes. It is an excellent item, he even supplied a couple of longer screws to attach it I couldn't be happier. No more sore fingers for me! Andy
