1. It was hard work but great fun! Photos in the Live Photos and Videos section: http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__2314538 Edit: all with an amazing display of headgear too!
2. The Junkyard Dogs at the Jools Night, Christmas party, at The Tabard W4 Happy Jack on bass, MacDaddy on Flying V, plus Rick on guitar and lead vocals and Paul on drums
3. Bump!
4. I have no answer to that, but I imagine it should be OK, if you don't mind lugging a bass around for the whole day. After all, if you bought a bass at the show and then carried it around to other stands and used it to try effects and cabs, I imagine that would be permitted...?
5. Their website only mentions group and student discounts. If a group of you guys team up, you can get a discount that way.
6. I've just voted again, on my tablet, and reached No 777 I've voted and tweeted throughout the campaign too. I'll tweet your amended first post, Paul.
7. I can feel a photoblog taking shape...
8. And Ms Surshal Meeja and her camera will be there too, of course
9. Brilliant. Thanks for adding it - and your band - on here

11. Basschat is now following you! Follow back and we'll keep in touch
12. Check out MrFretbuzz's post here and meet up, if you're coming from the same area: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/224659-fao-taffs-attending-the-london-bass-show-12-march-2014/
13. Great idea - I'll tweet this post tomorrow, and in the meantime put a link to it in the main thread. I'll see you all there!
14. That sounds awesome, Ian! What a weekend for both parts of the country. Let's see if we manage to post and tweet while we're at the events, and then also blog about them.
15. We'll be there waiting for you
16. They've announced Jack Bruce on the Sunday, sponsored by Warwick. http://www.londonbassguitarshow.com/jack-bruce-announced-in-association-with-warwick/ Jeff Berlin, Roger Glover and Frank Bello have previously been announced as guests. This year is a veritable cracker
17. I'll tweet this tomorrow (Saturday), late morning, hoping more people will see this post that way.

Cancelled

I think that particular jam night was cancelled twice since Jim's post, I'm afraid.
19. LOL I've had the ignore, the waiting-for-your-boyfriend/son/bandmate, the girls-don't-like-heavy-metal, the girls-don't-know-the-difference-between-bass-and-guitar, and the What! You play this big 5-string bass?? Left-handed too???? ['Cos it's more difficult that way, innit?] I don't remember seeing my now ex-boyfriend, a guitarist, ever being on the receiving end of something similar, but I guess you get used to this kind of sexism the same way you do to sexism in other aspects of life. There are many, many men who work in music and aren't remotely sexist though, and I've encountered some who were not just unfazed but positively happy to be dealing with a woman musician. I can't drive a car at all, let alone park it...
20. I've moved this under Gigs, but you can also post the question in General Discussion - it wouldn't be the first time that something similar has been asked there. I can't help you with an informative reply, though, I'm afraid.
21. Excellent stuff. Good to hear you like the result
22. Sorry to hear that, BassTool. Let this thread be one for the memories.
23. Guys, feel free to create a new thread from scratch for the next bash, and I'll pin it
