1. Yup, great tone, great response, and thank god there's such a brilliant alternative to the intolerably boring P-sound.
2. The one I played at their NYC custom shop - a normal Corvette 5 Standard, 2012 model I think - was small, thin-necked and not too heavy (although Warwicks aren't famed for being featherlight, unfortunatley).
3. Ha! Thanks!
4. I'm getting the impression that Warwick are concentrating on their US market, as well as their German home market. When I spoke to the reps at their LBGS stand last March they actually said they were going to try and improve their position in the UK market - but I imagine they will also have to stop demanding that resellers stock a large number of extremely expensive models no-one can afford before allowing them to become distributors. I only have Rockbasses but the Corvette 5 GAS hasn't gone away. So far I've only bought new (from Thomann, when Sterling was strong against the Euro). Then again, I'm a leftie and most of the time have no second-hand choice. Unfortunately the Warwick_Official account here on Basschat, previously run proactively and helpfully by Garey, has been dormant since he left the company.
5. Thank you
6. Here's another immigrant who's celebrating the 20th anniversary of her landing in this hallowed country with a one-way ticket in her hand, and exactly two years since joining Basschat. (And I started playing bass when I was over 40.) Welcome Aalam, you're certainly not alone here, from any point of view
7. It's two years on BC today for me, folks! Aren't I doing well! A huge thanks to the whole of this community for changing my life for the better. Here's to many more yearly updates to this thread!
8. Wrong instrument - but other than that...
9. Fantastic! And congrats for the Phil Campbell support slot - make sure to post photos and vids
10. Thank you guys! It's an absolute pleasure to take and then select the photos of our events
11. The impression I got from accessing the site (both full and mobile versions) from my tablet is that the Go To Last Post button/blue circle isn't that resposive. In other words, it's not that I fail to hit it the first time - it's just that it ignores my touch until I hit it a second (and sometimes a third) time. I know that that may be due to my tablet being really crap and slow etc., then again, maybe not.
12. Not working for me.
13. I didn't receive a notification for your post, though, Chris. I've just gone through the uncheck-save-check-save routine once again and, hopefully, if it's fixed, it will now work.
14. Thanks Ian! I'm feeling a bit lost without my reminders and alerts

17. Not receiving any notification at all despite following the uncheck-save-check again suggestion.
18. YAY!! Excellent. Tweeting the new developments as we speak.
19. OK, time for this pic of his & hers again
20. Quick heads-up: even if early bird tickets aren't available any longer, there is a discount for groups of six or more, which means those of you who haven't got tix yet can get in touch with each other on here and team up.
21. Got the Twitter alert for your post, but will retweet tomorrow morning when there's a larger audience. Keep up the excellent work
22. Afraid I can't help, Dusty. You may get a better response if you post your question in General Discussion
23. Or that may be us trying to pronounce Pfretszchner...
