  1. Effects list: https://www.zoom-uk.com/sites/default/files/products/downloads/pdfs/E_B1FOUR_FX-list.pdf Looking at the effects list, it seems some effects (marked with blue star, eg "Low EQ") are only available as "Guitar Lab additional effects". I don't have a Windows or Mac computer - I guess I could borrow one from a friend - but can someone confirm that once the effects are added to the Zoom B1 Four via Guitar Lab that they are then available on the Zoom B1 Four permanently?
  2. Could try powering it from a socket but via USB. That's what I do with my B1on.
  3. My guess is that it's because there are five banks, which correspond to the five physical buttons marked '1', '2', '3', '4' and '5'. E.g. pressing '2' takes you to the patches which start with '2', namely 20-29. But if there were patches 0-9, you'd need a physical button marked '0'. The tuner's cool as it uses the green & red LEDs underneath the display.
  4. B1 Four vs B1on.
  5. Just playing about with mine. The button/dial layout and interface makes it really easy to use. I've had a B3 (but not B3n), and I still own a MS-60B (for live) and B1on (for home practising). This B1 Four will be getting used live.
  6. I'd like to know this too. I've owned a 434 and it was great, really loved it; and I still own a 735A. I like the simplicity of a passive bass and have considered a 435 - but doesn't really make sense to trade in, as the value of my used 735A is about the same as a new 435. Also there are small things I like about the 735 - matt headstock, fingerboard inlays - and a proper bridge. Also I much prefer a blend or switch to two volume controls - although I could always rewire I guess. I'm probably too stingy to move up to the P35 (although if that £900 one Bas got had been sunburst...).
  7. How do you transport it - I wondered if it would "get lost" in a normal-depth gig bag, or does it work ok?
  8. You can do this with Zoom by plugging a cable from your computer/phone into the Zoom's aux in.
  9. Thanks for this info - I've just ordered one too
  10. Where did you order it from?
  11. Yes, a couple of times, hopefully isolated; the common factors seemed to be when it's been cold, playing for an extended period, dehydrated, or low potassium level (eat bananas). Also, get fingerless thermal gloves.
  12. Not sure you need an fdeck, since your Fishman has a high impedance input and a variable HPF. Is your Tonehammer the one with the effects loop? If so, plug the Fishman into the "return" which will bypass the Tonehammer's preamp (i.e. use the Tonehammer just as a power amp).
  13. The One10 is (as you say) 8 ohms, so the Bass Terror should be on the 8-ohm switch. The Bass Terror's 500W figure is the potential maximum - but it can deliver the whole range of power from 0W to 500W depending on the volume level. Start with the volume low and you'll be fine. If the speaker starts to distort or otherwise sound wrong, turn down. (This is general advice for all amplification.)
  14. Be sure to get flatwound strings - preferably La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats, and ideally the 0760M "1954" set.
  15. This! Definitely address the underlying problem. Is it a P bass by any chance?
  16. It's hard for me to be convinced so far that there is a signature "rosewood fingerboard" sound. Otherwise all the basses in this video would not sound different to each other.
  17. Ah, I see... got you now. If it helps to know, on my older B1on I can set up 2 x Ac Bs Pre, 160 comp, and SVT. Adding a fifth effect gave "Process Overflow". I too am waiting for the B1 Four to become available.
  18. You can use four effects simultaneously with the MS-60B. So in your case: "Bass Drive" (or other amp sim) Compressor HPF #1 HPF #2 Then create five duplicates of that patch for the different Bass Drive settings.
  19. My basic hybrid bass became easier to play when I changed my D and G strings to Golden Slaps (synthetic gut). The E and A are still Spiros. N.B. it changes the tone too, which may or may not be what you're after - more "organic" but I wouldn't describe it as more "clarity".
  20. Gives a bit more room with setting intonation. I've had (other) basses where I've had the saddle right up against the back of the bridge.
  21. The other comparison I'd be really interested in would be the different RCF 12" speakers: 312 (£343) vs 712 (£430) vs HD12 (£581) vs 732 (£688) vs HD32 (£843). Anyone want to buy all five and let me know the answer?
  22. My understanding is that the Headrush 112 is very similar to the Alto TS312. I've used neither, but there were some recent comments here which are favourable to the Alto: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/339937-frfr-advice-compact-monitors/?do=findComment&comment=3732820 https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/339937-frfr-advice-compact-monitors/?do=findComment&comment=3732846
  23. Harley Benton good but Yamaha BB better - perhaps either the current BB234 or a second-hand BB414 or BB424?
  24. Could get advice by posting on https://www.reddit.com/r/LegalAdviceUK/
