Hi all, Does anyone know of a decent gigbag that has a pocket big enough to fit a Darkglass M900 ? cheers Si

So, after recently testing a wet / setup & liking the results so far I want to take it one step further but need some advice from those of you who have done the following : - passive bass > signal splitter > dry > power amp (1) > wet > B7K > Little lehle > power amp (2) B7K parallel out > mod effects > Little lehle > power amp (2) So how do I achieve this ? 2 separate bass amps ? Stereo preamp into power amp ? So far I’m boosting signal with pedals but realise it might not be best to drive a power amp this way. Looks like the B7K can drive a power amp with blend on full tho .. I already have Little Lehle to A or B from dirty to mod effects but want to have ‘dry’ channel clean to keep bottom end & not have full single ‘wet with delay or flanger etc’ ... I currently have a Darkglass M900 & two cabs but no power amp ... any advice must welcome cheers Si

Hi Dave, You can assign 6 different presets .. 3 on green led channel & holding switch down for a few seconds you go to red led channel & have 3 more presets, so loads of options.

New Pre-Amp day - Tech21NYC Sansamp GED2112 (from FX Pedal Rental)

Thanks for your response ... maybe next time you connect the XLR you could try see if the master volume(s) affect the XLR(s) ? Could be a deciding factor choosing this pre over the RBI ... any other observations over these two preamps would be most welcome cheers Si -
New Pre-Amp day - Tech21NYC Sansamp GED2112 (from FX Pedal Rental)

I noticed this GED2112 pre doesn’t have a separate XLR DI level control like the RBI .. is this XLR DI output level fixed or does it run of the master volume control ? -
I'm also not looking to bi-amp but am thinking this way I can run a few effects thru my clean channel whilst keeping the dirt channel 'effect free' .. this setup does require two amps (or one stereo power amp) & two cabs .. so far I'm looking liking it , so much so my M900 might appear in FS soon lol

Funnily enough I've been experimenting with a similar idea also based on the GED2112 .. I've had this idea since I first saw this preamp but haven't really tried my idea till this week .... I'm using my B7K for wet/dirty channel (blend on max) going to 'power amp in' of my bass amp & parallel out into another pa power amp but I need to boost this signal on the clean side so thought I'd use my Rothwell Love Squeeze compressor, not quite enough juice so added another pedal that has some boost which happens to be a Moog MF Delay (I also like Delay but not sure I'll get to use it within our band), anyway I was really pleased with the result ! Dirty / gritty sound into a Bagend 112 & clean (ish) compressed sound into Bagend 212 I didn't think the pedals would be able to drive the pa power amp sufficiently & also read the B7K suffers the same problem but not with blend on full .. I am running it in Darkglass M900 btw so maybe that helps. Only issue I see at the moment is for DI'ing as I only have one dirty signal but that's easily remedied with getting another DI box for the clean compressed channel. To be continued ....
Save a space for version 2 of the Endangered Audio Research Delay. It will be very nice. controllable, dip switches, effects loop for the delays. yummy. And if its like version one, shamazing tone.
The EAR AD4096 MKII is top of my wanted list ... however I've managed to cover my needs with Moog MF Delay / Bright Onion Trails Looper / Zander Circuitry Little Monster to 'ramp' oscillations albeit in a much larger footprint to the EAR AD4096 MKII

Rechargeable power supply station....?
sifi2112 replied to chrisanthony1211's topic in Accessories and Misc
Well I won't say the jury's still out as it'll probably take weeks before it needs recharging as I'm just using analog pedals but so far I really like it .. taking it to tonight's practice just to power tuner & B7K. Been using a onespot till now but as alll but two pedals already have 9v batteries I'll be using this powerbank as main power source & should it die/fail I'll unplug daisy chain & use internal batteries, for B7K & Little Lehle II I've external 9v clips to power them (Lehle just for led), pretty much covered & so much easier now just using analog -

I just received a Harley Benton power plant today .. looks decent, led light is certainly useful as a torch, briefly tested it powering a pedal but no time to play, will use it tomorrow powering all my 7-8 analog pedals I also didn't mind paying the 10 euro postage .. I've used Thomann many times & they been great, honouring returns & warranty etc -
Had a reshuffle

I've now got both .. I've had B3K & B7K before ' stupidly sold both when trying different setups but have come back to Darkglass again. I like just plugging into to M900 & using fs to mute or engage B3K/VMT circuit esp as there are no psu's to worry about , however I also got the B7K so I could basically just show up to reheasal with just that (& psu) as they provide a backline included in reheasal price. I thought I might do the same for gigs but I've always been ask to at least bring an amp even if I could use the cab provided, so pedal is kinda overkill ... if I sell the pedal I'm still good to go but not the other way round esp as amp has preamp out just in case you want to hookup to a 'slave' amp .... I'd like to slave to a nice tube/valve power but not sure if the B7K has enough juice for that. I also got the B7K for parallel out to 'effects' then back into Little Lehle AB box so could go clean to dirty in one stomp but unfortunately not using any effects in my (reformed) band now so M900 is probably all I need. Which is more like 3x the price I think ... You're welcome to come try em both out ... might even sell you one Simon

Yeah I saw that Thomann one .. as I've 5 of these battery clip ones & only use 3 pedals (2 of which have internal batteries) I'm in no rush to get but probably will at some point, or something similar & use 9v batteries as backup instead of onespot. I think I also prefer analog to digital tho I was rather impressed with the SA Aftershock
-
I sorta did the same ... Replaced digital with analog : SA Aftershock with DG B7K (have 9v external battery holder) Subdecay Echobox with Moog MF Delay & Bright Onion Trails Looper with 9v mod (tho digital Subdecay does actually have 9v battery option but still draws a fair bit of mA) SA Mercury Flanger with Moog MF Flange Unfortunately my current band doesn't really allow me to utilize mod or delay effects much i.e. they kinda get swallowed up, so I don't see the point of taking (expensive) extra gear esp when were trying to scale down & simplify things so .. Current battery powered board : > Korg Pitchblack Advanced Tuner > Darkglass B7K > Rothwell Love Squeeze > amp Still considering one of these rechargeable lithium-ion psu units & battery as backup.. but which one ? Also, nice thing about Moog / Subdecay / Rothwell pedals is 'if you leave 9v daisy chain lead plugged in like when I use a onespot at home instead of wasting batteries it bypasses the battery so you can leave the jack leads plugged in which is handy if you've set it all up on a pedal board' .. also new Korg tuner I've got not only has great battery life (according to Korg lol) it still allows signal to flow even without a battery !
