  1. Warmoth Dinky jazz extra lightweight swamp ash body, wenge quartersawn slim jazz neck, rosewood fb ss 6230 frets, barekuckle ‘60 pe pups (fab!) in 70’s position Sandberg bridge, Schaller bml tuners, vol pot pups wired parallel .. best jazz I’ve ever had .. well you did ask lol
  2. I recently got a SKB hardcase fir my jazz which is pretty nice https://m.thomann.de/gb/skb_fb4_formcase_ebass.htm?o=4&search=1533067179
  3. Hi there, I might be interested in this preamp but can’t find info on it or even pics, so I’d appreciate it if you could send some photos. Can it get ‘gritty’ or is it more clean ? Effects loop ? cheers Simon
  4. I also thought the same about my 212 .. wire each driver to separate speakon, can’t see a problem with that really even tho they both occupy the same enclosure, maybe wire one speaker in parallel with a separate speakon to link should you only have one speaker out on your amp ?
  5. Thorpyfx Twrex - Wampler Triple Wreck clone, high gain guitr pedal with separate boost knob & footswitch. Treble / mid / bass plus high/low gain switch (subtle) & retains low end really well, great for Muse type fuzz on bass ! True bypass, no space for battery but works on regular centre negative psu
  6. I’ve looked at the dug but not sure how well it can drive a poweramp & rather not have pedals .. guess I need to try the GED2112 really. Also, last few gigs I used other band’s 115 Combo & couldn’t hear myself very well on stage hence the 3x12 stack idea, pity my GK400RB doesn’t do 2 Ohm lol
  7. I get what you’re wanting to try & I’m kinda after a similar thing. If I could start from scratch I’d be tempted with 2 x BF Two10’s, bottom one for ‘deep’ & top for ‘drive’, switch to 4 Ohm each to maximize poweramp or switch to 12 Ohm & run parallel to any backup amp ... however, I’m gonna use the two cabs I already have & love (except the weight) which are Bagend 212 & 112 (drive on top of deep), except I don’t have the GED2112 lol (yet), I do have two power amps waiting tho ... I believe you used to run a RBI ? How does it compare to the GED2112 ?
  8. Moog MF Delay can kinda do sound on sound to some degree plus pseudo reverb / droning with exp pedal or ramp button & degrades just beautifully grainy here’s a link to a (withdrawn) fs thread I posted a while back for a bit more info ...
  9. V1 later Finnish model B3K
  10. Forgot I hadn’t posted finished pics lol .. best jazz I’ve had !
  11. Got these EB Cobalt Flatwound strings FS or trade .. cut for 4 inline jazz / p bass, nicest flats I’ve tried & would probably keep em if they were 40-100 which is the gauge I like most but I’m a ss rounds player really so will trade if anyone is interested, the D string has a little discolouration by the bridge saddle.
  12. Give Jas a call or email at Astral Sonic Tech ‭+44 7902 241155‬ [email protected] or try Howard ‭+44 7716 860676‬ Both in Leeds :) Simon
  13. Not quite sure if a standard male to female xlr bridges the preamp ..? And regarding the speakon outs, do they need a Y split speaker cable with just the ‘+’ wired on both left & right channel speakon out then going to standard ‘+/-‘ speakon to 8 Ohm cab ..?
  14. I bumped this by mistake lol .. anyway I’ve decided to withdraw as I really do love this cab & might just use it now & then, also had little interest which is a pity coz I think Bagend maybe get overlooked ... it’s all good
  15. Bump for fab full range 212 cab (well 52Hz-5kHz) ... love it but just too heavy for my aging body https://bagend.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/D12-D.pdf
  16. Bump for one of the best A or B pedals ... isolated channels, psu only needed for red/blue leds, can accept stereo trs jacks, can be used to switch between basses or amps .. I used it to switch from dirty B7K out to clean (effects etc) parallel out from B7K but now only have B3K .. silly me should have kept the B7K
  17. I use a Bagend D12-D, very loud with just my 200w GK 400RB, it’s very efficient but doesn’t put out too much low end tho fine for my 4 string jazz but it’s heavy only downside as I’m getting old lol
  18. I used to have a PJB Sixpak + 9B combination but power (spl) to weight ratio was not great tho. I play heavy rock / metal. I still read posts re PJB & am interested in what they’re making but unlikely to use again, however I would like to try a C8. I’ve kinda had more luck with more traditional cabs (currently running a Bagend 212 which really rocks but is heavy). So I’d say no unless you get enough of those piranha drivers & enough power & you’re good to go but I don’t think it will be light .. btw I briefly had a Schroeder 410L too, certainly lighter
  19. Warmoth Jazz > GK 400RB > Bagend D12-D
  20. Diamond Quantum Leap except for tremolo ...
