I had a great chat with Dave from Ashdown. Bad news the amp needed a new power board and perhaps had been tinkered about with before. Good news the amp now has a clean bill of health and should go on for a number of years.
Dave was great with his communication and his dry wit made me laugh even though I was parting with my hard earned money.
Last night's gig my ABM 500 started well and sounded great then just stopped mid gig.
Transpired the fuse under the power in had blown. Replaced the fuse like for like and it blew again straight away.
Anyone else had this happen and can share their knowledge, suggest a fix.
I've messaged Ashdown.
Paddy.
Mixed bag with my band tonight. My last gig for this band and my amp failed. The band called it karma for leaving.
Luckily the rehearsal studio we use was nearby and lent us a Orange combi. Adjusted on the fly and felt horrible.
Appreciative audience.
Onwards and upwards.
Kate bought my Zoom B6.
She asked if was still for sale in the morning and within a few hours we met just off the M5.
Wonderful super easy transaction.
Kate is a credit to the Basschat community.
SmoothHound wireless system.
Good condition and fully working. Only defect is that the transmitter door is missing a locating lug but still fits perfectly.
£40 Inc UK postage.
1985 the year I gladly left school.
No tapes but I was probably spinning The Meteors on LP - either Meteors Live or Wrecking Crew.
I was strutting around my small village in a donkey jacket, checked shirt, sporting a very short flat top!

I was sifting through my bass cave today and found a single coil and don't have a recollection where I collected this. Can anyone tell me what make it is? I am fairly sure it won't be high class as I've never spent loads on pickups. Cloth covered cable and A string pole slightly raised.
