1.
Just realised you linked to a video of White Rabbit, she had been with us 2 or 3 weeks then. Video taken by my daughter on her iPhone, so please excuse the quality.
Quality was fine and the performance was ace...could hear the bass better than that other clip too
2. Saw a mates band finish with the punked up version of 'I'm a believer' á la the end of Shrek, to a hells angel crowd, they went mental on the dance floor, one of the memories that will always stay with me We'll do whole lotta rosie, or maybe Saturday nights alright for fighting depending on whether the crowd are singing or dancing.
3.
I still chuckle to myself when I remember that first meeting (our kitchen, my mother in law lives with us), and the look on the faces of the rest the band the first time she sang with us! She still makes the hairs in the back of my neck stand on end when she sings, even in rehearsals that voice is still mindblowing.
Her voice here is fookin' amazing, lucky you are......still cant work out the music stand though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPZr59edD_E
4. We use fingerprint recognition to sign in to some of our sites, the guy setting it up for me was pulling his hair out trying to find a finger that worked, ended up with both thumbs, I do get weird looks from everyone else though.
5. Forgot all about this..well done you, at least 1 basschatter got lucky
6.
Buy a clear one and print your own background.
If you gonna go that route, ask TimAl http://www.originalscratchplates.com/ He is a member here and his rates ain't too bad.
7. Keep going fella, those calluses soon harden up, and it all feels a bit easier
8. Don't be fooled by the specs..250W at 4 ohm, buts its still WAAAY more powerful than my 400W Eden, even through an 8 ohm cab
9. Bought mine as a backup amp, but now it gets used all the time as its about a quarter of the weight of my Eden, monstrously loud and sounds great too...whats not to like?
10. Have you checked behind the sofa? the things I find there.............
11. Time for a plug for our very own TimAl, knocks up a very nice clear acrylic with the image of your choice stuck to the back to produce something like this
12. We have a 3m long vinyl banner we put up as a backdrop..never thought of using like that though......bit of a bugger if it gets nicked, but a good marketing ploy...I like it!!
13. I name that bass...ERIC!
14. It's a shame Roger Daltrey wasn't there to sing with Wilko, the Cd is actually very good with RD to front it!
15. Hmm how about Black Sabbath- Heaven and Hell, and Gary Moore - Midnight Blues, one we do and the other I'd like to!
16. Someone was upset about a non delivered drop tuner earlier
17. Another logo lover here, I display mine proudly!!
18. Now that...THAT is a Ric I could fall in love with...jammy bugger you!
19. Thanks, and special thanks for noticing the logo, makes me smile
20. The guard or the artwork? TimAl of this very parish makes the guards for a very reasonable price, the pic just came of t'internet and we did a bit of photoshopping to get the right effect. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/247112-scratch-it-original-scratchplates-pickguards-to-your-design/page__p__2610382__hl__timal__fromsearch__1#entry2610382
21. Thanks, yeah it def suits the plain lighter colour, A brass or beaten copper one is in my sights for the other.
22. Thanks for all the feedback guys, for now I have just swapped the plates on my 2 P's, which I think works quite well
23. Yup I have of those, works great and its never slipped on me yet
24. I started as the 'mid life crisis' thing, drums were too noisy and guitar looked too difficult, bass it was then. I was actually one of those who was playing in a band after 3 months, mind you they had to play exactly the right songs, in the right order otherwise I was bu66ered!! there is a youtube vid somewhere of me playing at our 1st ever gig..petrified at the back of the stage, frozen in place lol..I think I played roots all night. Fastest way to learn is get in with a band, seriously more fun and steeper learning curve than playing along at home or taking lessons, but so much more rewarding.
25. Beyer, thats the one I am always being told is best, its what I have for the last 6 years, and it seems bulletproof http://www.gear4musi...xJ89RoCQenw_wcB
