  1. I sold mine to someone in Scotland too @krispn - have you still got it?
  2. I had one of those too! I ended up not loving the neck, but tonally it was superb
  3. Oooh and Steve Digiorgio and Gene Hoglan (Death) Sean Malone and Sean Reinert (Cynic) Martin Mendez and Martin Lopez (Opeth)
  4. Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk (RATM/Audioslave) Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl (Nirvana) Caleb Scofield and JR Conners (Cave In) Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard (Muse)
  5. Next one booked for me is Akercocke and Abhorrent Decimation in September, then just got tickets to see Sleep in October. Last booked one of the year is Damnation Festival in November, though I'll be working so will have to see what bands I can get to. I'm thinking of going to see War On Women in June though, heard their most recent album today and it was really good
  6. Everything you need and more is in this thread 😀
  7. The venue put up some photos from Saturday
  8. I forgot to say, we played All My Life by the Foos at the end of the set last night, during which I do heavy backing vocals on the DONE DONE, ONTO THE NEXT ONE at the end, as we finished my legs stopped working, they just about went from under me. I just about stopped myself from falling over, I guess I must've pushed all the oxygen out of my body 😳
  9. Last night was pretty good, but not as busy as I was hoping - I think the hot weather and that there's two big events in Eastbourne tonight meant some folk stayed away. Instead of driving home at 3am, the singer and his wife got themselves a hotel for the night, so he had a few drinks - he kept it together, but was definitely more lubricated than usual by the end of the night. Venue manager was disapointed we're not back there until the autumn which always a good sign, but that's because they'd double booked us on half our dates, so can't do much about that.
  10. Last night was great, The Jolly Farmers in Purley, was a bit concerned about the turnout because of the heat and you can never be sure what evening people will want to go out on a bank holiday. However we had a busy, happy crowd, happy bar staff and we played very well, not 100% but I'd say high 80s. Tonight is a nightclub show in Eastbourne, hopefully be busy as they only have bands on Saturdays and the crowd there is great - just the midnight start time to worry about
  11. The moustache is a dead give away!
  12. In The Night Garden The Pontipines are just off to bed
  13. If Ashdown thought there would be a decent ROI on installing a paint-shop, late-stage customisation like this would be a fairly easy thing to introduce to order-entry/manufacturing
  14. Post-rock bands often have great sleeves: This Will Destroy You Explosions In The Sky Mono
  15. Two in London next week, Anaal Nathrakh and Akercocke on Sunday, where I should be catching up with @Monkey Steve and then Cave In and Old Man Gloom on Friday I'm really looking forward to both of these, which will probably be the only gigs I'll be attending until Damnation in November
  16. Singer has an Ipad on a stand, so I look at that over his shoulder, the setlist is usually quite fluid so no point in us having individual lists
  17. I used to have one of those, on just that finish, it complimented the SB2 I also no longer have very well
  18. A pal on Facebook linked me to this earlier, thought some of you guys would like it I'd not heard of them before, presumably not well known on this side of world, great playing from the bassist and brilliant tone - just the sort of sound I go for. I could see these ladies going down very well at somewhere like the Download Festival, they seem to be prolific songwriters too - knocked out an album a year since 2015 by the looks of Spotify and with another in the works.
  19. I prefer Sweden (Opeth, At The Gates, Entombed) or Norway (Emperor, Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone) for my Scandinavian metal
  20. I love The Lounge Kittens, their arrangements and harmonies are just spot on
  21. Good gig last night at one of our regular public venues; I had new strings, a new compressor and was stood next to the desk, so could easily adjust my IEM mix so the sound was great. A few daft mistakes from all of us, but plenty of happy punters and bar staff, so over all a good evening. I do hate playing on the night the clocks go forward though.
  22. Going through my favourite bands, they worked out as: GB - 31% US - 59% Other - 10% So twice as many bands from the states as over here, but, as the US has a population five times larger than the UK, I voted patriotically for good old Blighty.
  23. I'd love to have one of these, I just have no application for one GLWTS
  24. As it's national Tolkien reading day, Burzum and Gorgoroth
