1. welcome - you want a lead, talk to OBBM
 2.
This would be the bash in St annes? I may just feel a little out of place being new to the forums and probably quite young and probably not as good as any of you =[ and not having as many basses and not as many amps... i could go on forever Just as long as I get to play a 6 string (which I shall do very badly) and/or a 5 string fretless, i'll be ok Sounds a lot of fun though!
Obsidiandesire - the guys are referring to the Northampton bash here - the St Annes one (mini NW bash) will be something along the same lines I'm sure, just a different venue - ie in a studio so not next door to a pub but that's not important... Don't panic about coming along - the St Annes bash will be my first time too and I'll have my Fretless 5 for you to have a go on - see you there
 3. Well my ER20s arrived on Friday morning as planned (forked out the extra £4 for next day delivery) and used them at rehearsal yesterday - it was so nice to spend all last night without the usual aural interference that occurs following an afternoons' practice... Must admit it was a little strange at first but I quickly got used to the way things sounded when they were in and I'm pleased to report that in my mind it didn't affect my playing at all (opinions may vary ). If anything the bass was more prominent in my head that it usually is even though according to the rough recording we made at the weekend its not loud enough in the actual acoustic mix although that's probably more to do with the small mic attached to my minidisk player and the poor acoustics in the room... All in all glad I tried them out and will be using them for the foreseeable with the rock trio
 4. A quick week to the day bump

 6. Ahh, I guess that makes it a bit tricky with be being up North and all... I'm sure some of the other guys will have EA gear at the main bash in Northampton, I think there is a list in the main bass bash thread...
 7.
I'm thinking about EA because the tone shaping facilities and its class D so very light!
Hey zapp - Where abouts are you? I've got an EA iAmp200 combo with all the tone shaping etc if you want to try it. I'll be taking it to the NW mini bash next weekend... I've also got a Epi UL112 which is a great cab
 8. Good evening and welcome

 12.
Got the gig and now need to learn them all !! The singer is a lady and wow, what a powerful voice. Drummer and guitarist seem top notch as well so should be fun and think we will be out gigging soon.
Nice one - hope it all works out
 13. As this was discussed on the radio a couple of days ago, it prompted me to look over this thread again and subsequently I've just ordered some ER20's with a view to trying them out at rehersal on Saturday. It's something I've been thinking about for a while now so will be interesting to finally see how it sounds at the weekend...
 14.
As the high volume output is solid state then there won't be any issues with any cabs. All the versons produce max output at 4ohm and have 2 parallel speakon connectors. Dave
Cheers - thanks Dave
 15.
Address is Bluebird Studios, Snowdon Road, St annes - google maps link, it looks pretty straight forward to get there...
BassBunny hope this helps
 16. No worries - if you can make it then great, see you there
 17. Hi Dave What Cabs would you suggest matching to your amps? Only asking because recently read a thread saying that Epi cabs are not well matched with Valve amps (I currently have a Epi UL112) so don't know if that would work with your amp, I'm guessing because you're using a D Class SS at the end it would be ok . Also what Ohms should the cabs be? Depending upon how things go in the next few months I could be interested a 400w version?
