1. I may be on the lookout for an LFO and try to find a Drive pedal that has the Drive control linked to an Expression pedal - I suspect I may have to get my soldering Iron out for that one though.
2. interesting, I work in Aylesbury and never come across that company before. if you have any more info Clarky I can have a word with some people I work with that would be very keen on shutting him down.
3. good luck with that, if you get gigging in Aylesbury let me know, and I'll try to pop down!
4. Listening to a Selection of George Carlin's rants
5.
The joys of psychoacoustics!
it might be this, but depending on how far away you were it could be the very slight difference in the speed of Sound and Speed of light, obviously your eyes registering the location of the note to come, while your ears recieve the note just played. or some such nonsense.
6. I'll Second gStrings I use it quite a lot and it works really well I have a HTC Desire for what it is worth. (reading SITS's comment about Hardware)
7. I'm trying to think of a way I can buy this and keep my SVT 4 Pro. ...
8. Nice one, WoT. whatever we all may think of things like X-Factor it does offer opportunities for us all to get work if we are willing to exploit it. Hope this brings more work your way WoT.
9. Eddie and the Hotrods are still playing, I've seen them a few time in the last couple of years. I wouldn't call them Punk but they are a great Live band!
10. silddx I need to come to more of your gigs

12. there is a zen thinking behind this, something along the lines of, when you start it is all about the bass, then it becomes about you and the bass untill all that remains is you. or some such. on the plus side it does mean once you have a decent bass, you can then start saving for all those little stomp boxes to make it make funky noises.
13. Gutted, Looks Like I'm not going to be able to make it this year. It was a lot of fun last year and was looking forward to it. See you all next year
14. Saw this on twitter being plugged by @ukmusicjobs (who are nothing to do with me) I have a 610hlf so was more curious sorry, Have a bump on me though
15. I quite liked the White Bass that Beyonce's Bassist had (is she still Divinity Roxx?) looked like some kind of Warwick. to be honest though if anyone said to me here have this bass that is like the one <Insert Bass Player Here> played at Glastonbury, I'd probably say 'sure, thanks for that, I'll be sure to use it'. you don't get to that level of success without having some great gear.
16. Top Chap! came and bought my Jazz V 24 Deluxe. communication was excellent. Deal with Jan with Confidence!
17.
I prefer white spirit. It also goes better with fish (meths with red meat, as any fule kno).
isn't WD40 mostly fish oil?
18.
If you mean the rh450 you must be kidding. As many can testify (including an unfortunate lightbulb) from the eq bassbash it has tonnes of volume
I believe Charic's rh450 and 2x10 almost kept up with my SVT 4 and 6x10 (although I was running the SVT from only one power amp ) at last years SE Bass Bash. Good Gear that TC stuff!
19. Sale fell through for a genuine reason. so this is still available Thanks for the nice words Hellothere, I think I've priced this as a Bargain, but I've done that deliberatley. it is however a firm price, cash only. Thanks
20.
I know this is an old thread but i just wanted to post about Thomanns CS. We brought a LED light off them end of Jan this year. It cost £45 inc postage. It seems to have developed a fault so i emailed them yesterday to see what can be done. As its outside the 30 days send it back period we were going to weigh up the pros and cons of having to send it to Germany. I got a email this morning form Thomanns saying they are trying out a new returns system and would i like to participate in it. The email also contained a PDF with a prepaid label and all i need to do is pack it up and take it to the post office. I must say thats pretty good service. I think the total postage (both ways, twice) must come close to the cost of the light.

Gotta say, if Thomann were to open up a UK operation and keep those sort of standards up then there'd be a lot of very worried UK online retailers trying to raise their game...
you really can't argue with that level of Customer Service, I would hope that there are already a lot of worried UK online retailers that are worried, and continue to be.
Obviously price comes into the buying decision, but the thing that really makes them stand out for me is that with the thousands of orders a day that they must process, they seem to have a consistantly good level of customer service. Compare that to an online store in the UK who process a few dozen orders a day and can't manage to do that...
+1
21. Thanks folks for the fantastic interest this looks like it is at the stage of Sold Pending usual exchanges!
22.
Ok Pictures Up, if you want more or specific pictures, ask and ye shall recieve (apologies for the carpet)

Nice. Good luck with the sale, because then you can buy a vacuum cleaner.
I refer the learned gentlemen to the previous apology, but I am sorry that the carpet doesn't live up to your high standards and you have only my word on this but it is usually a lot better than that, there have been a lot of non-bass related things happening in my home recently that have made such things as vacuming carpets not quite such a high priority thanks for the best wishes and the troll
23.
Great bass and a very keen price. I just sold my 4 string one and it was a beauty. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks Kinder, I am sorry to see it go, but I'm just not using it and it is such a shame that such a great sounding and stunning looking bass isn't being used
