1. Ok Pictures Up, if you want more or specific pictures, ask and ye shall recieve (apologies for the carpet)
 2. it is indeed Made in Korea, I've been told that they were made in the same Factory that the Cort Basses are made in, but I never found anything to back this up or refute it, so it is basically hearsay. (yes that dodgy vocal pop group that seemed to just vanish) Taking Pictures now. Good luck with your dingwall then Thom and Mike, I'd rather not be posting it just because of all the things that can be complicated by that, and also if we exchange in person there are ways and means that you can try it before you hand over your cash, I would prefer the new owner to be happy with it and then hand me the cash than go through the whole 'not what I was expecting' debacle. I do have family in North Yorkshire though (around Whitby) and I'm visiting there at the end of April so if it is still available then and you are interested I can bring it with me. Any more questions?
 3. ok, Still available! Ladies and Gentlemen, your PM's Please!
 4. Right Back atcha!
PM'd Phil
5. My Fender Jazz V 24 is for sale £300, Available again this is the 5 String version of this bass Passive/Active switchable 3 band active eq Seymour Duncan basslines pickups and I may even but some new D'Addario nickel round strings on it as pictured in my avatar Picture, I will add some more pictures later today/over the weekend. this was my main bass for about 4 years, only let me down once which was an electronic failure, which I had someone near here deal with (a guy called Jerry Playle if any of you know him) cosmetically this bass is pretty good for the amount of gigs it has done, there is a slight ding on the back of the neck from where I stupidly leant it against a monitor at one venue we played (kind of in the region of the e string 10th fret - not 12th as I previously posted - Picture Below) but I will post an image of that later I haven't really used it since mainly because I use two basses tuned differently and I got another Bass Identical to the other one I had and that allows me to balance bass volumes easier. as I need to acquire some Kendo Armour, and this bass isn't getting the time it deserves then it is time for it to move on. I recommend playing it before purchase and there is a local rehearsal studio near me that can be used. (at my cost) I'd rather not post either so collection from High Wycombe or surrounding area or I can come to you if it is Surrey/Hampshire/Wiltshire way.
 6. Cats? hmm, not quite as explosive as I'd hoped for, and a lot more unpredicatable this is the perfect moment for that youtube video/advert that has a bunch of cowboys herding cats but I can't access youtube from where I am just remembered your (I think) thread, you still have lots of them then icastle?
 7.
Get some strippers. That always adds something to a live performance! Truckstop
I see where you are going but that is more expensive than I had in mind...
 8.
TBH - how pathetic is this going to look though? One party popper - really! Not wishing to P on your bonfire like
you have a point, maybe I could set up and array of them... hmmm or go back to yorick's confetti cannon idea which 'puts out' a lot more stuff.
 9.
Why not get a piece of strong fishing line, tie one end to the party popper and tie a large nut to the other end. Leave the line long enough so the nut can drag along the floor. When you are ready to fire it, put your foot on the nut and lift the head of the bass up in a dramatic fashion...
That is a good idea. as for the Pyro, your right in the kind of proximity I'm working with it is not going to happen, I kind of realised that within seconds of thinking about it. I will bow to other peoples experiences on these kind of things mainly because the research I did was very limited because It showed me very quickly it was a no go. All input welcome any more ideas? it's all about adding something else to the 'live' experience
 10. LOL, indeed the Pyro idea was just where it started and as a bit of laziness and a bit of being broke I'm not too interested in Insurance, Licences or the Risk Assessment process. the Confetti Cannons Idea is worth exploring, are these the ones with the 'twist base to fire' action? how would I get it to go off while playing? not that it makes a difference but the Bass is a 2006 MIM Fender Jazz 5
 11. the Candles and Frying pans sound good just for the visual effect of it... I had thought about an extra long section of String to the right hand, but extending the string that much increases the amount of stretch available in the string and as such will make it harder to actually get the thing to go off. but somthing that will be tried, any more creative ideas?
 12. I had this idea (blatantly plagarised from somewhere but I don't remember where)for one of the songs in our set where I could point my bass headstock into the air and fire a flashbomb or some other pyro as a 'here is the song' kind of thing... then I did some reading and realised that I would probably need licences and other such expensive things, so I did some more thinking. well I reckon using Party Poppers (The Pull String variety) for now would be more than sufficient for the kind of venues we play and still sort of have that visual effect. (Just without the fire, flash and burning down indoor venues - which is a big positive) so to get to the point, Mounting the 'Party Popper' (or whatever) to the headstock isn't going to be too difficult (there are many and varied types of clip that can be used for this) the problem I have is in fretting a note and firing it off at the same time. so Ladies and Gents (and those of you who consider yourselves outside of those categories) how would you set up something that would be easy to set up, reuse and easy to operate given both of my hands are otherwise employed doing something else at the time (ie playing bass) lets hear your ideas... as a side note... apologies for the prolific use of Brackets and if this is in anyway in the wrong place - I apologise and can someone please put it where it is supposed to be. Thanks
 13. I do actually have a second head for this very reason. I have an Ampeg 610HLF which I run MY SVT 4 Pro through and also an Ashdown Mag 300 H for every one else that doesn't have their own head. simples
 14. Andrew, I've actually been buying BGM for your article since it started. not that you need my endorsement, but if anyone is of the mind they are a fantastic set of learning material for reading standard notation. Thanks Barny!
 15.
Ive always wanted one of these again after selling my bass. I only realised how good it was after i sold it.
I have the 5 String one of these and having acquired a 2nd MIM Jazz V was considering putting it up for sale, fatgoogle, you have just convinced me to keep it (for the time being at least) but I will concur, these are fantastic sounding Basses and mine was my main bass for many years (Since 2007 ish I believe) whoever has this is getting a great bass!

 22. Just as an Aside to this, spent an hour or so with Robocorpse running his Ric's through my SVT 4 Pro at the south east bass bash, based on that I reckon it would sound awesome through your B5R

 24.
I had better not hear you criticise the government on here...
that is a conversation you and I are going to have to have over a brew or two...
 25.
Interestingly the latest BGM that came throught the letterbox this morning has a feature and review on compressors.
I did notice that one of BassGear's Fodera's was the subject of a review in that one though. (Must not Have GAS for a Fodera, Must not Have GAS for a Fodera, Must sell my soul for a Fodera, Must not Have GAS for a Fodera... Help Me)
