1. Can't understand why this is still here. Have a free bump on me.
2. MTD Kingston.
3. A Zoom B3 would fit the description.
4. I put the strap onto the strap button and then lock the straplock over the top. Don't attach the strap lock to the strap. That way, the strap lock can't rotate on the strap so the weight of the bass is hanging on the locking pin, which seems to be the main cause of failure. The weight of the bass is always on the strap.
5. Hi Chris, what are the power supply requirements for the receiver?
6. I can collect it, of you are not in a hurry. It might help if you told us where you need it to be delivered to?
7. It's a list of lists, compiled from 11 or 12 internet surveys, possibly the laziest journalism I can recall. And no mention of Colin Hodgkinson!
8.
I didn't get to watch much of it last night but out the bits I did see, the most unimpressive was Florence and the most enjoyable for me was Jungle.
Jungle were excellent, I loved the sound the bassist was getting out of that Thunderbird, and what about that little kid breakdancing?
9. Bass big muff.
10. Think obbm had one of these for a while. It you are in an upstairs flat, I wonder if vibrations through the floor might be an be issue for the neighbours downstairs.
11. How can you tell if something is bass related? If it's not broke, don't fix it!
12.
There's always Star****er of course.
Or Wayne County and the Electric Chairs masterpiece.
13. You should also get a line-level signal from an Effects Send on your bass amp, if it has one. If the Zoom B1ON is the same as the B1XON, it doesn't have a DI output. The only one of the modern range of Zoom pedals that does is the B3.
14. I'm sure that Max at SFX Sound would also be willing to build something like this for you.
15. I thought it was supposed to be about Claudia Lennear. Oh well. There's a very good band round these parts called Olaf who utterly nail this, largely due to the authentic use of a 5-string Telecaster in Open G. It's rumoured that Keef learnt this from Martin Carthy.
16. Someone in the 'Wanted' section is looking for one of these. GLWTS
17. Does anyone have a good clean-boost circuit that I could add to my double-loop bypass pedal to provide some gain control over the loops? I could buy a LS-2, but where's the fun in that??
18. Get your Mr drums to tune his kit properly the day before. That can save a bit of time and frustration if it has to be done in the session.
19. There is a great clip on bass player tv of Flea playing I Feel Love. Jackson Five - I Want You Back. Not the notes, but getting the timing right and in sync with keys and guitar took some work.
20. I am a possible for this: have a gig at a beer festival the night before but assuming I can manage to wake up on Sunday, what would people like to see? Fender CIJ '70s precision, Nordstrand pickup and P-Retro, maple fingerboard, and Yamaha BB800, rosewood fingerboard for the comparison? Yamaha BBNe2 Nathan East Sig? MTD Kingston Artist 5? Duesenberg Star Bass? Various Bass Collections, fretted and fretless? '70's Double Bass?
21.
Drum machine - they don't talk back!!
And you only have to punch the information into them once :-)
22. I have one you can try if you don't mind coming over to Ipswich.
23. We built a pedal parts kit called a blue fool, not sure what it's a clone of but it works really well and wasnt expensive.
