1. Want an Ampeg SVT CL for Ashdown money? http://www.thomann.de/gb/bugera_bvv3000_infinium.htm I've so nearly pulled the trigger on one of these over the past couple of weeks
2. Take the Behringer badge off. Stick an Ampeg one on and you got yourself an SVT-450
3. I've done a few trades on here, with no problems whatsoever. Check their feedback and see what the BC world thinks of them. As a Mod, we see the occasional trade/sale that goes a bit wonky, but most of the time it's down to lack of communication from one party, rather than fraud.
4. I had one for a week, but it was a dud so had to go back. When it was working, it sounded great. Also being half the weight of an SVT was a big bonus. If you do buy one, and need a brand-new, unused, padded, Roqsolid cover for it, I have one for sale in the Other Items section - it arrived after the amp went back
5. I had a Roqsolid one for mine. Fitted perfectly. Was open at one end, and had a slot in the other for the handle to come through.
6. Funnily enough, I've been searching high and low for the same answer recently. From what I've found, once you get past the "It's a Behringer, so it'll burst into flames and kill your granny" comments, they seem to be well liked by those who have actually bought one (and not just made stuff up) The autobiasing of the power valves is a good feature, and you can now use any valves with the correct pins. Never seen a sniff of one second-hand, but most places are doing them new for about £470-£500 I'd love one to go with my Ampeg SVT410, but it's the 75lb lift that could be the showstopper
7. Bumparoonie All offers considered.
8. It's a well known 'feature' of the early TB500's Seems that an attenuator is a quick and easy solution http://basschat.co.uk/topic/72133-orange-terror-bass-di/
9. It's now in a flight case and ready to rock
10. Shall we draw a line under this thread now? The OP has sorted the problem with her finger operated control devices and we've strayed well away from Amp & Cabs and firmly into Off Topic. Feel free to continue in there if you wish Cheers Dave

2X18 feedback

Bought a flight case from Will. Well wrapped and sent as agreed. Just what we'd expect from a decent BC member
12. I recently had a brand new Chinese Ampeg V4-B that lasted less than a week before it went back for a refund. Loose preamp valves, even when fully inserted. A mis-pressed valve cover with the bayonet fitting all wrong, but just wedged on. Kept switching to half power. Would scream like a banshee when you used the Hi Boost switch Might have been a Friday afternoon job, but for an £1100 amp, it was pretty shoddy
13. Hup Hup Try me with a close offer - you never know......................................................................
14. Bought this for an Ampeg V4-B that I got from Thomann last week. The amp turned out to be faulty and had to go back, and they didn't have another in stock, so I got a refund. It kind of put me off them, so I ended up buying something else instead. This cover arrived on the day the amp went back, so has never been used. It's got the optional 4mm foamguard padding. Black with red piping Cost me £42.64 with the VAT and postage. Yours delivered in the UK for £30 http://www.amplifiercoversonline.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=107_1&products_id=3914 Totally brand new and mint condition
15. 50p per watt??????? It's a Waitrose amp for Lidl money
16. Alright m'ansome Another Kernow 4 stringer here - from just outside Truro. Knocking the plaster off pub & club walls with Connect Five Good to have you aboard the good ship Basschat
17. I have a Barefaced S12T and an Ampeg 410HLF - and the answer is 'horses for courses' IMHO, it's like comparing a CD to a vinyl record. The BF is total clarity, very crisp hifi type sound. The Ampeg is more old school, more warmth and overtones. Certainly more bass through the Ampeg than the BF with the same amp. However........a 212 is a hell of a lot lighter and compact if you've got a gig in a tiny pub, or up 2 flights of stairs, and TBH, I don't suppose your average pub punter is going to notice the difference from the back wall of the bar Just my 2p :-)
18. Rico bought a Markbass amp off me. Easy sale, great comms, and a total pleasure Cheers
19. Just tried out out again - virtually none, even on full gain. Clean as a whistle - if you need a whistle that can kill wildlife at 100yds ;-)
20. Had to buy this amp to get the cab I was really after, cos the guy wouldn't split them. I don't need an 800W head (1200W @ 2ohm), but I'm sure someone on here will want it Came out of a local recording studio, so it's certainly seen some action. If you're after 'pristine', then move along now However, it is full working order and I'm sure has many years of removing plaster ahead of it. Weighs in at a hefty 36lb, but as you see inside, this is no class D head. It's a full-fat, balls-out, analogue monster. Very clean sounding amp, so would take pedals well if you needed to grind it up a bit, but keep that huge power on tap. Fitted in a 2U ABS flight case, so it's ready to hit the road Incoming valve based goodness, so this needs to go Yours for £295 with insured courier to a UK mainland address Specs and reviews here http://www.musicians...0-pro-bass-head
21. I'm with you on this one. Just picked up a scruffy but sound Ampeg 410HLF and it has so much more 'presence' and personality than my Barefaced S12T (yes, I know I will burn in the fiery flames of hell for saying that - and I love my BF) The Ampeg V4-B is on the way as I write The S12 and Markbass F1 will stay for any gigs with a flight of stairs involved
22. Another lovely, easy, Basschat sale
23. I bought this TTE500 new about a year ago, but having picked up another amp as part of an amp/cab package deal, it's time to move it onto a new home. Absolutely mint condition, as it's been kept in its Roqsolid cover whenever it's left the house. Full working order. Even still got the original box and instructions. Lots of love for these amps on here, and rightly so. Smooth, valve sound, with plenty of poke, at a fraction of a full valve amp's weight - 6kg/14lb Yours for £495 delivered insured to a UK address May be tempted by a trade with an all-valve'er, but nothing that needs a fork-lift to move it
24. Here's one from the Basschat archives to show you what it should look like http://basschat.co.uk/topic/159514-aria-pro-ii-sb600-1985-blacknatural-l225/
