This is the 4th Ric I've owned, and I thought it was a keeper, but as usual something new and shiny has appeared on the horizon, so off it goes! Bought new by me from Thomann in 2016, it's played a few gigs and done a few jam nights, but mainly stayed in its case and been looked at lovingly. The band I'm in needs my Jazz, and not the raw growl of this beastie. The contoured S body shape is much more comfortable to play over any length of time, and the oiled walnut body looks superb. It's totally stock - even got the original strings. The case candy is unopened, and the pickup guard has never been taken off. There are a couple of tiny marks on the bottom, and the case has a few scrapes - but that's what it's there for. The pickup selector is a bit stiff, through lack of use - I always have it in one position for full roar - but works fine. It has the push/pull tone switch to give a 4001-u-like treble cut, but I always preferred it in 4003 position. £1950 gets it couriered to a UK mainland address £1850 if you collect it from Truro, Cornwall, or meet up somewhere within 100 miles of there - I will need a deposit for a meetup, unless you have super feedback on here 🙂 Bank transfer preferred please, but never say no to good old cash. Isn't she beautiful!!! 45 years old and looking fantastic A 1977 Japanese Matsumoku Aria Pro II PB550 Fretless Bass. These were only made to order by the factory, between 1977 and 79, so they're rarer than rocking horse poo. Has the original DiMarzio pickup in it, and it sounds HUGE!!!! That maple neck gives it a classic fretless Mwaahhhh from its Fender flat wound strings. It's everything you would want from a fretless bass. Price includes courier to a UK mainland addresss

An absolute one-off!! I bought this because I loved the stripes of the body. It's made from african Idigbo wood, with walnut and maple inserts. It was originally a Green/Williams build - luthiers based in the east Midlands, but as I did a lot of work on it, it's now a Green/Williams/Huxley - GWH It's got a Wilkinson single coil pickup, which is the most Ric sounding pup I've ever heard, so if that's your thing, then you'll love this!! Never thought I'd ever sell this bass, but it just doesn't get used often enough now, so I think it's time to move it on. A beautiful Fender Aerodyne Jazz in Gunmetal Blue. Crafted in Japan in 2006-08, according to the serial number. This is the rarer non-export model, with the normal Jazz knobs and scratch plate, rather than the export model which had no scratch plate and a Strat type jack socket. Excellent condition for its age, with just a couple of tiny marks on the front. No buckle rash or anything nasty on the back. Plays like a dream, with a big beefy P pup at the neck, and a more refined J at the bridge. Strung with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky's, it really sounds the business. Now I need to free up some cash for another expensive Boy Hobby, so it needs to go to a new home. 100w doesn’t seem a lot these days, but these are Ampeg, full fat, all valve, watts, and this thing will fill any pub or club with that wonderful Ampeg tone. Everything you want from an SVT, apart from the hernia lifting the thing. Weighs about half as much as it’s big brother, so it’s no flimsy Class D cigarette packet amp. The head was revalved with new power tubes and PAT tested in March 2019, and it’s done no more than 10 hours on them since then. Comes with a wraparound padded cover. Pretty much mint condition and full working order. I look after my stuff 🙂

*Now sold* It’s a 500W, 4ohm cab, with adjustable tweeter. The cab is totally sound, and is quite compact for a 410. Has locking castors on the bottom to roll it about, but it’s an easy lift. It would cost serious money to courier this, so either come and try it at my house, just outside Truro, or we could meet up somewhere inside Cornwall
