1. This is an old pic a friend sent me recently from an holiday in Woolacombe, Devon in 1979 (note BUDGIE t-shirt)! Here is a live pic from the Rock and Bike Festival, Derbyshire from 2009, so 30 years on.....(pic used for my Avatar here). Finally the most recent pic from March this year. On holiday in Torrevieja, Spain for my birthday.
2. Last bump before Ebay. (I probably won't have time to list it on there until Monday) Last chance to make me an offer guy's! these are cool speakers
3. Last bump before Ebay. (I Probably won't have time to list it on there until Monday). C'mon guy's make an offer!
4. You lot are evil! I suspect Evilbay will pull the "auction"
5. Hey Greg. Paul used to do all my set-ups for me (guitars). His work was outstanding. My friend had a Paulman Telecaster which was a lovely guitar. Your bass is a steal at £400 but like username "adledman" I also don't play 5 string basses (at the moment). Best of luck with your sale. Tony.
6. This man is the tops guys. Phil saw that I was advertising for a Tecamp 1X15 cab. He got in touch, we agreed a price, and he met me on time here in Nottingham with the cab. The cab is like new and exactly as described. He is a true gent and a real nice man to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending him to fellow Basschatters! Thanks Phil !
7.
My band are using Titan 12s for FOH and 8s for monitors at the moment and they are fab bit of kit. Can only think that these 15s would be every bit as good, and louder!
Hi Pete. Yes they are a fab sounding speakers lots of volume and warm. I am selling these to buy 2 X 12" Wharfedale Titan speakers actually, and probably a single 12" Wharfedale Titan active. They should be enough for my needs as we only use them for my vocals. The Titan 15's are physically big but lightweight for their size. I bought them from a female singer in Sheffield and were used for vocals so they have not been abused. Due to my new car not having that much boot/rear end space (Seat Ibiza Copa), I need smaller one's, so i'm downsizing everything. My new Tecamp cab takes up all the boot! and the new speakers will go on the back seats. Do you think an 8" active monitor would be loud enough for a pub/club rock band? Tony.
8. This item is now considered SOLD as a fellow Basschatter is collecting/meeting next weekend thank you.
9.
Swap for a fleabass streetbass?
Hi Marcus. No thanks mate. I'm looking for a cash sale only on this (and my other items) as I am replacing my current PA system with a more compact one. Thanks for the offer though.
10. Saturday bump! This amp and cab will be listed on Ebay on Sunday if there is no interest here, thanks. I have slightly modified my add. Just to make it clear, you are buying the combo. At that price it's a steal in my view. I have added the cab as well as a bonus, but the cab need a bit of work. Price dropped as I would like it moved on, I have more stuff to buy! Anyone?
11. Hi guy's. Here's the last of my listings. I am selling this as part of my "downsizing" (bass amp/cab and PA stuff). Here I am selling my Wharfedale EVP12 PM active powered monitor. This is a wedge shaped, quite light, monitor with a 12" speaker and it is carpet covered. I believe it's 200w with a 320w peak (correct me if i'm wrong). This has been used as my vocal monitor for quite a while now. It's in excellent working order but used condition. It has a small peice of covering missing (see pix) I guess you could paint that bit in? it's never bothered me. I have a powered mixer so I use 2 X passive speakers as main PA then I run this out from the mixer for my vocals, so it does not use power from the mixer itself. As i'm replacing most of my PA I am letting this go for just £70 OVNO. I am not looking to trade. Collection only! you must collect or arrange to have it collected from me, I will NOT post and I have no packaging material for this. I live in Nottingham 5 minutes from junction 26 M1. Cash on collection or bank transfer is ok. Paypal ok if you cover their costs, but i'd rather not use it. Make me an offer you never know I might accept but no silly offers please. PM me if you are interested. I will place this on Ebay on Sunday if there is no interest here. Update: Someone has pointed out that the horn appears to have been removed and blanked off for some reason? Yes I can confirm this. I have removed the grill to check and this is indeed the case. It was like this when I got it because I have never even noticed it before as it's just a floor monitor as far as i'm concerned and does the job, but it is still plenty loud enough as I have gigged this for 3 years without any problems. This unit does work ok and it is "sold as seen". Anyone is welcome to inspect and try it first if they wish. I am still open to an offer. Thanks Tony
12. Hi guy's. As part of my "downsizing" of my equipment I am selling a pair of Wharfedale Titan 15" passive speakers. They are Grey, and cost around £400 new. These are used but full working order and I am looking for around £240 for the pair. 400w - 1600w peak! Full specs here: http://www.wharfedalepro.com/Home/Products...48/Default.aspx These are for COLLECTION only, you must collect them or arrange to have them collected from me. They are light weight for the size but far too big to post, plus I have no packaging for these. I live in Nottingham about 5 minutes from junction 26 M1. You can make me a serious offer, you never know I may accept, but no silly offers please! PM me if you are interested. They will be advertised on Ebay on Sunday if there is no confirmed interest here, thanks.
13. Hi all. Due to a new amp/cab purchase I am now selling my Trace Elliot Series 6, GP12, 1215 200watt combo. This is the 12 band EQ version I bought this from a local seller approx 4/5 years ago. It has served me very well since. I had the combo serviced last year by a guy I trust implicitly who builds very, very expensive amps. The combo is in perfect working order and it is cosmetically in very good condition. It does have a cap missing off one of the controls (no doubt easily replaceable but it's never bothered me). The combo has a 15"speaker. I was told it was built in 1992. It does not have the green carpet finish, it has the vinyl covering. I am also throwing in a Trace Elliot 2X10 cab rated at 200watts. The cab is in used condition. It will need a replacement speaker though as it is buzzing. This cab matches the combo. You are really buying the combo, the cab is an added bonus that needs sorting. I am selling it on here cheaply for you guys first, if it does not sell I will stick it on Evilbay. I am looking for around £250 for BOTH and I am NOT splitting! so please don't ask. Someone is going to get a bargain here. Collection only, or arrange to have it collected from me as I am NOT posting it due to the weight. Cash on collection or bank transfer in advance is ok, Paypal is too expensive unless you want to cover their costs. PM me if you are interested, You can make me a serious offer, you never know I might accept, but no silly offers please! I am based in Nottingham just 5 minutes from junction 26 M1. PS: I am now selling 2X15 Wharfedale Titan passive speakers in grey if you are interested?. (all part of my downsizing exercise due to a new car....and back!). PPS: Sorry about the crappy pix! Cheers Tony.
14.
Cheers for the input!!! Although a lot of it is simple stuff really, non of it really came to mind. Haha. No material as such I've been given, although I'm going to learn some songs from the bands influences to get the general gist of the tune style. Don't want to turn up and play some heavy J-rock.
So do we take it from that , it's an "original material" band then?
15.
Assuming that you have learnt what they want you to audition with, then be punctual, set up, tune up and play. Don't overplay, concentrate on getting the groove/timing right. At an audition they will be much more impressed if your timing is good, than whether you can solo/slap etc. Don't noodle between numbers and try to look happy And best of luck
What he say's is spot on Good luck
16.
They are top guys!!!
Bless you!
17.
I can understand where he's coming from, but Jaco, his playing and personality, was a massive part of WR.
Agreed! This is that VB track you mean right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9mOrOyYLIQ
18. Mmmm' a confident chap isn't he Pete? I also beg to differ!
19.
They've never stopped me. I always put something like 'for more info, use the ask seller a question tab or drop me a line at [email protected]' I've done it a few times actually. Why make eBay rich(er)?
Too right! thanks i'll do that I have some bits i'll be putting up for sale shortly.....on BC first mind!
