1. Hope life improves for you soon and all this stress becomes a thing of the past
2. A before I go off to bed bump.
3. Stop buggering about man, all you need is another P bass or three
4. This one has been around a bit on Bass Chat. I got it a few months back for my bitsa project but have now got a new replacement. There are a few blemishes and marks and a crease caused by the good old royal mail who seemed to think it was a sound move to fold it up during it's journey to me, even though it was well packaged with instructions to not bend etc. Anyway I flattened it out and it's ok. Also a previous owner had carried out a bit of filing, presumably to get some oversized pups fitted. Anyway the pups I fitted were larger than fenders and so it didn't look too bad. A few weeks after I had finished my bass a set of American RI pups came up on here so I got them. When it came to fitting them though the gap around the pickguard cut out just looked a bit ropey and it was spoiling the whole look for me. So that's it, I've not exactly made it seem like a must have item but just don't want anyone thinking they will get a pristine piece of kit. Of course if you like your P bass with the chrome ash trays and covers then it wont show and you will have saved a whole load of dosh. Hopefully the photos will help explain more clearly than my ramblings. I would like £12.50 inc of postage
5. A very trusting, helpful Bass Chatter and a pleasure to deal with.
6. Blimey Chris that was a quick change about. Best of luck with the sale. You must stay faithful to the P bass and stop lusting after these strangers
7. Think it's highly unlikely that the wood could give way around the tuners.
8. Thanks chaps.
9. Good to hear a happy ending
10. Now that I'm doing more setting up and general tinkering I'm in need of a set of under string radius gauges. Any recommendations as to make and where to buy from. Thanks.
11.
I had a crap ending to my gig last night... went to the car to bring it to the stage door to find someone had put a brick through the front window. Not happy.
Unbelievable, what's wrong with some people. Some snotty little scrote keyed my daughters car the other night in a pub car park.
12. I finally pay a visit to this section of the forum after three years or so and what do I encounter? A floozy in her underwear. I will not be back! Much
13. http://www.relicdeluxe.com/default.asp All the info you need
14.
Just checked - they're about 1/8" from the string.
An 1/8th when fretted at the last fret? an 8th" would be about right, (depending on type of pick up) when fretting the very last fret.
15. I had to chase them as well. But once I did they turned up the next day. Rotosounds for me.
16. I've been thinking of swapping out my jazz neck for a P, but mine is a VMJ not CV
17. Like you say decent parts, but why the precision decal? weird
18. I'm amazed at the number of ads telling us to grab a "bargin"
19. Nice job, looks very cool. Hope it performs well at the 02 bash.
20.
Pleased to hear it's going well & sounding good Gary.
Thanks Tim, I'm all loved up with it at the moment. You know that phase when you just can't walk past it without pausing for an admiring glance and a little noodle
21. Just received one of John's P bass wiring kits. Looks like a classy bit of work and very rapid delivery.
22. Lovely bunch of instruments. With the added bonus of the description: Sounds like a Rhino clearing its throat.
23. I'm pimping a cheapy Squier Affinity at the moment and having fun. Just can't decide whether to go for some relicing, stripping back to natural or just leave it alone and give it a polish up. Enjoy your project.
24. Got mine today but not read it yet. I dont like the smell of it these days, it makes my bad headaches even worse, so I leave it to air for a while in the garage. I think it's the ink they use
