1. sure it plays and sounds great, but that slanted neck pickup just looks...erm...wrong to me personally. Congrats on the new bass
2. A mash-up of Born to be Wild and Day Tripper - affectionately (not by me) called Born Tripper. Hideous....just Hideous
3. Those basses scare me.......,i'm scared that i may like them. The Lee Sklar one looks a cracker.
4. Thanks both
5. Hi all Anybody have a Schecter Stiletto Elite 4? I'm after something a bit different from a Jazz/P Bass/MM etc, and although i'd love a Status again, not sure available funds will stretch. I love the look of the Elite, and wondered if it would make a good all round versatile bass? Any thoughts/advice most welcome Thanks all Graeme
6. Bump for a great bass - You might want to consider some sharper pictures though?
7. Not illness as such, but i've had hairgel run into my eyes with the sweat - that stang and i pretty much 'cried' until the break

10.
Scott Ambush bass solo:
#skills - but 1:08 to 1:58 really doesn't work for me
11.
Here's my old gall, 1993 vintage.
Beautiful bass mate
12. yep, sounds like the nut may need to be higher. You could always try and ring John for advice?
13. I know it's an old thread, but i've just been checking out Mike's playing on youtube and it bought again what a tradegy it is that Mike is no longer playing- an amazing player. Here's hoping he's comfortable and one day will be able to pick up a bass again, or any instrument God Bless Mike P.
14. We make sure we have a varied set list (all covers) to cover all eventualities these days. However, a few years ago we played at a British Legion locally, and although being booked as a blues/rock band, after 3 songs the duty manager said some of the 'older' punters were moaning etc, saying we weren't the right sort of entertainment. We turned down a bit and played a few tunes slightly less rock/bluesy and things calmed a bit - then, some children in the club, including a couple with Downs syndrome asked to come up and sing, to which we obliged and made them part of band for a few numbers. The 'older' punters attitudes totally changed towards us and we suddenly were the greatest band they'd ever had. Funny how things work out
15.
my 3 lovely sei basses,
Those headless models are stunning mate
16. I was in GAK a few months ago when a dude was returning one for not being loud enough. Think he went away with an Ampeg head (1200 watt jobbie?) I thought it sounded great when they fired it up in the shop to test it.
17. Well i'm a slap fan, and favour MK over MM i terms of style and with regards to Moonlight Sonata.....why? Each to their own, and IMHO as always of course.
18. Fodera for me I reckon, one of those Wooten ying yang jobbies would do the trick.
19.
Decide for yourself.
Sounds great to me.
20.
My L2500 does slap pretty well, I normally use the active with treble boost for slap, and it's great for finger style, active or passive for a more vintage tone. It really is versatile.
Thanks dude
21. i've gotta ask, how did you 'acquire' it?
22. well done that man...but we'll need pics!!
23. I've heard nothing but great things about these basses - seem to be very versatile - one question, they good for a mixture of slap and fingerstyle? Thanks Graeme
