1. And just for reference, there's a brand new one on eBay for £689.
2. Really? Saw a few on the for sale section on here last year.
3. we do Get Back and Paperback Writer - both go down really well.
4. Yep - looks good to me - almost exactly what i'm after.
5.
I didn't think I would, but I did! Be careful!
6. can't stand the look of them personally, and am scared to try one...in case i like it.
7. looks like a good price, paid over £200 for mine and it was in an awful state when it arrived
8. my Peavey Grind 6 has a set of Elixirs on it at the mo put on by the previous owner so it'll be interesting to see how many gigs and rehearsals they last before they need changing. They will subsequnetly be changed for Warwick Reds though. Good luck with the bass, my advice, go for it!
9.
You git! Mine cost me £250
One of the nicest basses i've ever played to be honest
10. not that this will help much, but i paid £180 for my 6 string Grind on here, which i reckon was a great price. Such well made and great sounding basses.
11. everyone knows PROPER plecrums are green.
12. welcome from Bromley mate
13. i've always had good experiences with them. Billy Sheehan talks about them somethings returning sharp, but i've never found that go for it!
14. Ricken-thingy basses - hideous and awful to play Anything Thunderbird shaped - as above Anything semi-acoustic Anything spiky
15. although my most recent purchase is a 35" scale, i too love the feel of shorter scale basses.
16. I love the simple life - the most i ever use in addition to bass and amp is a chorus pedal. We cover the usual stuff, from U2 to Earth Wind and Fire, and the simple setup works fine for me.
17. spent another hour or so playing last night, and i'm finding the less i actually think about it being a 6, the easier things are becoming. Learned some new tunes last night for a new gig at the end of the month which includes some James Taylor covers so there are plenty of changes going on. The low B string is coming in very handy. Not sure i will be a full time 6.er, but i'm loving the change. Thanks for all your advice folks.
18. Greetings from Bromley mate
