1. Thanks for the help, now time, to learn it all hehe.
2. Thanks for the help hehe. Still having abit of trouble with it hehe. Also, what is the bass during the bridge, is it just playing around with a simple scale? Most of the songs on the album have brilliant basslines. War has a cracking line. I wish there were more tabs/sheet music around
3. I'm not sure, sounds like a bass in a synth, but if it is sampled, then I sure the notes are out there somewhere to be played hehe.
4. Does anyone have either a tab or sheet music for bass for this song. It's got such an awsome bass line. Thanks guys
5. You need to cut the mid, and bring up the lows and highs. I'll try typing out a diagram (it'll probably suck) of what I have my 7 band Eq at. - - - - - - - Kinda hard to show. Another way to describe it is it looks like The Rock (yes the wrestler) doing the peoples eyebrow, (Raising an eyebrow) Wow, my diagram doesn't work hehe.
6. It seems like everyone is after this bass hehe.
7. I do and I don't wanna buy this . I need my money for uni (well, it be handy to say the least). But I'm really liking the look of this bass. Though I'd probably change the pickguard to gold of chrome. Oh yeah, is the case wrecked? And would it fit a J-bass V?
8.
I wouldn't worry about the neck too much. It seems stable now and playable. If you are worried you can get a Mighty Mite for 50 brick and a 5 quid transfer. Bet you now if you stuck the old one on Ebay you'd cover that and more.
You could be right hehe. only other problem with buying a new neck, would it devalue the bass?
9. Gah, I want a Pbass, and this seems like a good option, even though The bass hass been through some wear and tear. And I'm sure I could buy another neck. Just checked the Fender website, and the Serial Number indicates between '79 to '81 (S9 + 5 digits).
10. Just bought a MXR Bass Di (which I noticed belonged to BassManKEv by the looks of it hehe) No hassle what so ever. I said would buy it last Thursday, paid on the Friday, was sent on the Saturday and arrived today. He also wrote a kind letter inside the box for the pedal .
11. I know its not in this country, but George's Music in Orlando, Florida is the most friendly guitar/bass shops I've ever been too
12. Wheres £3000 when you need it hehe. I must say, that is one of the nicest basses I've seen on here. Looks very much like Les Claypools CT bass.
13.
a 145' gauge is not enough by far. 150' may be OK in a 35" scale, the ideal is a 165' gauge. Get in touch with Conklin guitars in the USA, they supply bulk strings for ERB tunings, 165 for the F#, 195' for the low C#! They are custom pro steels from SIT.
195'! That must be like a steel bar!!
14.
Erm, good question! start off by playing some of your songs lower than usual, so instead of playing C on 3rd fret, A string, play it 1st fret B. Same as D, play it 3rd fret B string instead of 5th fret A...it'll get you used to playing it and then you start to wonder how you lived without
I've never tried that before hehe.
15. Find a song in drop C and play it using the B string instead. I've done this for quite a few songs, makes it alot easier bte, just incase you want to play a song in drop C
16. Me three years ago before heading out to Italy for a family holiday. I had been up all night by the time this pic was taken. Rockstar pose taken for myspace, gone for the opposite to the standard mirror black and white pic. Gah! How did my cat (Stan) get on here!!
17.
why did I have to spend the money I got from my bongo on beer?
wait.... you sold your bongo (which was the best looking bongo ever) and bought beer (one of the cheapest alcohols)..... Thats something I just can't comprehend.
18. Balls, sold two days before my wages came through
19. Ok, need to go grab lots of pictures for my "Ideal" rig..........
20. Oh yeah, was wondering are you able to put any tube in it?
21. Wow, it appears I sparked a debate. Intresting read, still doesn't help haha.
22. So, it is one of a kind? mhm, that just made me take one step further to saying "I'll buy this on Thursday" hehe. Roll on Thursday!
23. I'm really liking the look of this. I could possibly buy this when my paycheck comes through next Friday, just hoping time flies till then hehe. Btw, is it one of a kind as it says prototype? Thanks
24. Thanks for the advice guys. Seeing as their are mixed reviews I'll just change the question to what Distortion/OD pedal should I get for about £100 or there around?
