1. Hey guys. This is my first attempt at changing quite alot on my first bass I ever owned. So far I've removed the frets, and started painting. I've finished with the primer and have applied one coat of the gold paint which will be its eventual colour. I've taken some pics, but my phone and bluetooth usb thingy arn't working at the moment, so I'll have to upload them at another time. Just after posting this topic, I tried again and it worked. I'm not sure if you can properly see the colour on the bass, if you want a better look just ask and I'll take a few more shots. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the front of the headstock is the same colour.
2. The first two I played one was a CIJ Jazz bass (in a lovely white) and the other was a fretless I think also CIJ though could have been MIM. Both we're amazing, wouldn't let go of the white Jazz. Looking back, that was 5 years ago
3. I'm planning on changing the pick ups on my first bass. Its only a beginners bass, almost the same as an Encore, but different name. I was wondering would a pair of DiMarzio DP127 WH's fit onto them, or would I need to change something with the wiring? (I've just taken out the frets on the bass and soon to change the colour ) Thanks Guys
4. Where is the best place to buy some? I'm having a hard time trying to find some 5 string ones. I'm mainly looking for a Humbucker (Like on a Musicman). I'm gonna also check how much it'll be for a hole to be made for it hehe. Thanks guys
5. mhm, reading this topic has made me glad I bought a Trace over the Ashdown. I thought Ashdowns, were meant to be one of the tops, though I haven't myself used one before now.
6. mhm, I don't think I have any of the tools to do that hehe. Though I;'ll have to ask my dad about what we have in the house.
7. I'm tempted to de-fret my Jazz, but I was wondering, does anyone know a guide price for what people generally do it for? Thanks guys

Dubs Feedback.

I bought this guys Trace, and he has very good customer service Everything went down easy and never needed to worry. Would buy from again, even sell to for that matter
9. I got mine a year ago, and it didn't say anything about an upgrade :S
10. Sounds nice. How much did ya end up paying for it?
11. That is a lovely looking bass
12. I dunno if anyone has already posted this, but Club Foot by Kasabian.
13. Though I've thought of something that may blow up your head thinking, such as an Ibanez GSR200? What do ya do! So I can only play V Jazz with a Man named Trace Elliot?
14.
a nice Jazz would sound the nuts through the Trace has it arrived yet?
Yes, yes it has, and boy is it great
15.
I do love the look of a white Marcus Miller bass. That Belgian chap on youtube seems to like his, too.
That Belgian chap? Sounds interesting Thanks for the help there, I think I'll go for the Marcus Miller in white, and after some time, add a hipshot d-tuner to it.
16. All sorts really, though I'm looking at price aswell, both the Lee and Miller basses are half the price of a MM. Another reason why I'm thinking differently, someone on my course said everyone uses the MMs, and thinking about it, they do seem rather popular ^_^
17. Taught myself for the most part, but I've had some fine tuning off my tutors in college for some added ability. But other than that, it was all reading tabs and such.
18. After thinking long and hard, I've decided I'd rather play it safe and go for another Fender Jazz bass instead of a Musicman. But I'm at odds between the Marcus Miller sig Jazz or the Geddy Lee sig bass. What do you guys think?
19. Mhm, now after looking at more basses for extended periods of time, I'm thinking of going for a Geddy Lee Sig or a Marcus Miller Jazz bass instead, anyone know if they are any good?
20. As over 30 mins ago, Come On, Come Over - Jaco Pastorius. Well, I know how to play it, but playing it perfectly at the right speed is abit more tricky
21. Though you gotta admit you never know if he changed it before posting it just then. Thats happened on this forum I used to go onto, though being an admin on that forum, I was able to go on to his user and find out he did change it before posting. So That could have happened here.
22.
One of the biggest problems of "naming and shamming" is when you only have one half of the story. Ask Benwhite to show the pm where I have offered £500, he will decline to do this as he will not be able to show you it. Also ask him to show the pm where I said he was lucky to be offered that much? Neither of his statements are true! I still have the pm's I sent, and my first offer was 550.00 based on what I had seen them go for on eBay, check the completed items bit on eBay and you will see that one went for £600 the other day, my last offer to him was £580. If that is not enough for him that’s fine. I have not come on here to make enemies, I saw items being sold on eBay around my offer price without him having to pay eBay and paypal fees, so what’s the problem? Perhaps before people make comments they should find out the truth first. if someone would care to tell me how I can post the PM's I sent to Ben, I will post them on here for you all to see! Ben all my PM's to you were polite, as were your replies, so I don’t see why you feel the need to lie about the contents of the pm? Unless you’re just bored and had nothing better to do than to invent pm's just so you could jump on the bandwagon and make a post. IMO naming and shamming is fine when its justified, making an offer for something that one person thinks is fair but another person doesn’t is not grounds to try to humiliate someone.
I gotta disagree with you, when buying Ben's Trace off him, which I admit did take awhile to get the payment down and stuff, but he was cool with the whole thing and we didn't have much of a problem other than that. It went for what he advertised it for.
23. Thats just a music vid hehe, other wise, he did record that haha
24. Pow! by Larry Graham, insane song to play, I know how to play it, but I can't get half the speed needed for the how its played. Check it out ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1IuD6F3R5I
