There are some songs I alter but some songs just need that original bassline.

None for me. For the punk I dig in real hard with a pick by the bridge, for the ska I play fingerstyle right over the pup and the reggae I play up by the neck. Can get three good soundslike that. I have tried overdrive pedals but they did not work for me so I gave up on effects a long time ago.

I was once sick in my mouth during a gig halfway through a song. Though it was down to the amount of booze I had consumed the night before though.

Without wanting to sound like a crawly bum lick. I'd like to nomimnate an award to the Basschat Mods for putting up with us bunch of reprobates. Firm but fair.

We gig once or twice a week, sometimes it really does feel like work and I get that "cant be arsed" feeling, this is usually a few hours before I have to leave. Echoing what Doddy is saying really, it changes once i'm on my way. Maybe a break is what your drummer needs.
