2. My Relic 59CS P bass is number R19094 so not far from your number!

 4. R stands for Relic in terms of Fender CS, I would put money on this being the genuine article. By the way V is for Vintage. Trust me I know about these things
 5.
Hi Guys. Great bass you have for sale there, good luck. Im sure it will go fast at that price! I actually own the #2 MK signature Fender jazz. Its a really nice bass and plays really well. Nice punchy tone, although some people have given them bad reviews, I dont see what's wrong with them! (and to go off on a tangent, any one know how to make the rosewood fretboard look replenished? Mine seems to have dried out in places from wear over 10 years). All the best
Little bit of lemon Oil on a cloth and wipe the board. A small bottle will last your lifetime!
 6. I have dropped the price to rock bottom! there are a number of 4 string Jazzes going for £650 without the LEDs so if this floats your boat then fill your boots while you can. I will close the sale after 48hrs and keep it if it does not sell.
 7.
Cheers for that, although this is arguably even more of a mystery! Yasuki's a new one on me, it smacks of an importer's idea of a "Japanese-y" sounding name, like Kimbara & Sakai were. However this is clearly from the same source as the Asama bass & LP. A full autopsy might reveal some clues as to a manufacturer, but there are a lot of instruments out there that are destined to go unidentified, it seems. We can assume that many less recognisable guitars came from the Matsumoto Musical Instrument Manufacturers Association, a collective of smaller builders & suppliers in the region, which excluded the bigger & better known factories like Matsumoku & Fujigen. J.
The neck on the guit*r is remarkably like the neck on my Casio PG310 synth guit*r, which is very good quality. The Casio I think was made by Fujigen for Casio. I am guessing that it is mid 70's as it has the bullet truss rod and I cannot imagine that the Japanese would copy a crap design like that for long! On the neck plate it has Made in Japan stamped.
 8. Here is the Guitar version This one is branded Yasuki!
 9. I have got the Guit*r version of this at home. I will dig it out and let you know who made it.
 10.
Indeed yes!! A nice subtle rig for the Thursday night Jam.
We could have wall to wall Epi's if we put all our rigs together! How about the next Bass Bash? Epi heaven?
 11.
pm sent.
Going for the full set then Dave?
 12.
Yes, its not listed on this site: http://www.trace-elliot-v8.com/ (We've discovered another one, lads!)
That will be number 79 then! still makes my old one the newest out there
 13. I think we should start a "I wish I had not sold my V8" club! I don't know why but every time someone mentions V8, I get this sad sort of feeling.... On the bright side, my back is not so bad any more
 14. I got very close to buying this and you lot changed his mind! Good for you keep it see if I care Probably the right decision in the end as I am trying to sell not buy at the moment, but you lot keep advertising such nice gear!!!!!
 15.
Why would you remind me of this ?
I am waiting for the price drop on this one, or the exchange rate to change in my favour, or my lottery ticket comeing up..... If you are looking for a quick sale let me know!
 16.
This Joe White? http://www.jwhite-guitarworkshops.co.uk/
Yes, that is the right Joe White
 17. It's original Brazilian Rosewood. Joe has his name in the list somewhere, I think more and more Basschaters are making their way to his door. Met one yesterday when I was around there having a cup of Tea and talking 55P basses!
 18. Nick, I know where you live. If it goes missing your the first one I will call on Work was done by Joe White, a very talented man who is in the process of turning a 51 butterscotch P into a 55 sonic blue for me... WOT and BBC, I knew this would have many different views which is why I posted, each to their own. At the end of the day I hope whoever owns it gets a fair price and the Bass gets a loving home!
 19. Thumb wear is original, as are a number of other wear marks. As there was no paint left on it all paint wear has been done sympathetically by the Luthier. It still has its crack in the headstock by the E tuner, and there is wear on the back. The neck has genuine dirt and wear from 50 years of playing, half a century old this year!
 20.
No, no, no.
Before After Just my opinion but I prefer my 59 how it looks now than before when it was minus paint. My feelings are the same about that Jazz, nice looking Bass but somehow it looks like someone decided to "relic it" in a very unnatural way. With a bit of careful restoration it could look even nicer!
 21. If the electrics are all original in this condition expect to get £1500, end of last year you may have got £1800 to £2000. However the body looks more misused than reliced, it would be very difficult to damage almost every edge of the guitar! I think this would be one case where a refin is justified, as it would look better but would not alter the value that much!
 22.
If I could afford (was allowed) to keep the all Steve I would! I'd love to give your Epi rig a blast one day
In that case we will sort something out! Steve
 23. Not many more Epifani's for you to own and sell now Nick! The 1 x 15 that you sold me is still going strong along with the 4 x 10 that I bought from another Basschatter....
 24.
just sold a P bass to Steve, top bloke to deal with, nice easy straight forward transaction & a nice guy too.
Thanks Neil, likewise, pleasure doing business with you. Steve
