The ATK is great. Sounds more like a Stingray than most modern Stingrays

Fixed that for you there...
Does it play nice with active basses and other pedals is the question - the mammoth doesn't by all accounts, but the mastotron, which is a similar circuit, has an input impedance control to handle actives.
Bought a Westfield P about 5 years ago for £20... Solid wee bass. Chucked the mother-of-toilet seat pickguard and bought a mint one from someone here for a tenner. Stuck a SD QP in it I had sitting around. It sits at my mates/sometime guitarists house ready for my next visit.

Hi Alec, Mark at Limelight has a stripped 1963 Precision for sale at £2495 - nice price. Factor in a white refin and I reckon that's reasonably priced!

Yummy!
I find myself strangely drawn to this model despite:
1). Not particularly liking the available colours
2). Not particularly liking the pickup arrangement
3). Not particularly liking any Darkglass pedal I've owned
4). Thinking a whipper snapper like Nolly Getgood has no right having a signature bass considering he's really a glorified guitar player...
5). Recently deciding I was sticking to 4 strings...
Despite all this, my credit card feels in mortal peril...
...and it may be some time. One of Alex's 3 staff is hospitalized after a serious (non-work related!) injury... Hope the guy is ok.
I'm in no hurry for my cab and I'd factored some delay into the wait for the premises move anyway, so I'm happy enough to wait.

Did you get it already ........ and when you do will you be posting pictures?

No word of it yet...
And yes, but as I've said, it'll probably look like... a bass cabinet!
A 1u solid state bass preamp? Surely you've considered the Kreuzer?

Edit: I believe the sadowsky on board preamp is similar to what you're already looking at...
Ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive. Possibly the EBS Sheehan pedal. Don't know if They're as extreme as the Brimstone pedal though. The hyperdrive is a bargain!
