1. I have a pair of these in a USA Jazz and they are awesome!
2. Paul has just bought my Silver Series Squier Jazz Bass. We've been emailing for a while, but a family bereavement caused a big delay in us completing the deal. Nevertheless, Paul was patient, left me to deal with the things I needed to sort and then paid me on friday - the courier has just collected the bass from me. A thoroughly nice chap; I hope him and the Squier have a 'fruitful' life together (bad pun Paul - a tedius gardening type link)
3. any more info on this - these sorts of people really wind me up! Bloody scammers!! Want me to bid also?
4. Agree to disagree............
5. If that was a black with silver face I would have considered a trade plus cash - I have 2 with tweeter DB112 cabs and 1 always has the tweeter tuned off!
6. that's a lovely looking thing
7. location dependent obviously........ locally from £1500, rising to include extra for early set up, adding travel as we go - London is around £2500. Based on 6pm arrival, playing no later than midnight. Inc full decent PA, eng, DJ and good lights. 2 x 60 sets. We're always busy. Abroad depends - we've got something in Middle East for £5k, went to Turkey for £3k. depends on where it is, how busy we are and how much we want the gig.
8.
Not sure why? But fair enough. I would think it's safer for all parties to make offers on the thread - in fact I know of other forums where this is mandatory.
I just rather discussions / negotiations to be done by PM - never even considered why though to be truthful. No problem!!
9.
I'm sayin it again - I would never, ever sell mine for that money. Super dope deal.
Indeed it is. It just suited me as I want a decent precision - Having 2 youngsters under 2 and a wife on Maternity leave, the instructions are that I must get rid of one to part fund another!! What with having an original 1974 Jazz and a 75 RI, plus a Stingray, I thought the Squier was better off being sold and used by someone, rather than kept as a spare - I guess its a "how many basses is too many"...... To be honest, I'm having serious 2nd thoughts about getting rid of it and might just buy a P anyway........and I've made my mind up - she's staying!!
10. Thanks for the offer but no thanks. Maybe a pm would be a more suitable 'medium' to make any offers btw....
11. I'm another iphone / ipad user and use the 'pocketamp' app. I've got the 'iRig' inteface to go with it and its great. Also good for recording on garageband.
12. I have one of these with a flightcase and I did have it for sale last year to help fund my Aguilar GAS but didn't get any real interest so decided to hang onto it. I use it as a spare / rehearsal room rig / smaller gig amp. It sounds great to be fair and has plently of useful features inc a reasonable DI. It's more than powerful enough for most pub type gigs without PA support. The adjustable horn is handy with the 15" driver.
13. The are indeed. Postage to Halifax within 1 working day is £20 according to parcelforce. That's insured too. Not really into the 'parts bass' - I'm ideally after a cash sale to put the funds towards a decent Fender P. Cheers.
14. they were awesome. Pino is just unbelievable - so cool, yet his playing is just spot on. Effortless, but just 'right' abd locked in to such a goove with the drums. I was on Pino's side of the stage. His gear was turned in slightly so I couldnt see what amps he was using, but from the rear / side, they looked like a pair of Ampeg SVTs. The cabs seemed to be a pair of silverface Fenders - and 8x10 possible, plus maybe a 6x10. He played a black Fende Jaguar for most of the gig, with his salmon coloured P for a few songs. Really enjoyed it. Especially when Pete discovered his red strat was slightly out of tune in the middle of a song - he unplugged it hastily, clearly annoyed and threw it at his tech!! The strat bounced off the stage and his tech handed him a replacement!! The support band were seriously good too - Vintage Trouble......... Great bass player too, using Aguilar amps and cabs.
15. I'm going to see them in Manchester tonight; anyone else? I can't wait as it means I also get to see and hear the awesome Pino Palladino playing some of my fav bass lines!!
16. Not really feeling the blazer thanks. Postage - I'll get you a quote, pack it as well as I can and its at your risk. Location so I can get quote? Cheers.
17. sorry for the delay! North Wales. 15 mins from Chester.
18. when I saw this thread and opened it, my reaction was "Oh, f***ing hell....." I then remembered that I can't currently afford it.......... Gutted. Would love it.
