I've recently been offered a Squier Silver Series jazz bass for a reasonable price by a friend.
I've known the bass for over 10 years - the current owner bought it off another friend of mine around 5 yrs ago.
It's a lovely sunburst with RW board, Jaco style (no scratch plate).
It plays and sounds really nice, with an awesome neck.
What I'm after is a little bit of 'history' on these Silver series models and their general values.
I like it and think it'll be a great backup for my 75RI CIJ Jazz - I've just added Fender USA vintage Jazz pickups, new controls (CTS pots), orange drop cap, new wiring etc and a Gotoh Jazz bridge so it now sounds even more awesome.
Also, would it be worth putting the original Japanese pots and pickups from my CIJ into the Squier or do they have decent pickups etc etc.
Cheers all.
