1. Yes, Same pot for Vol & Tone.
2. CTS 250k pots from either WD Music or Allparts should see you right!
3. Got any pictures SS?
4. Oh my, that's nice. Wish I could afford it! Have a bump on me.
5.
And do you know that as a fact or is it an opinion based on what you would like the answer to be? I'm happy to be proven wrong, it's all just a learning exercise to me, but I remain unconvinced.
I think you're reacting rather strongly to this subject. Who on earth would know if you didn't tell anyone or try and sell it on as 'the real thing'. If it's just a home project then what are the chances of being caught and more to the point by whom? What proof are you looking for?
6. Richard, Fire Alex a PM as he doesn't seem to come onto the BassChat forum much these days...
7. Here's my 2 Compacts with the Mesa Boogie Bass 400+. This rig is just something else! (sorry for the crap pic BTW)
8. Hi Richard, I know this may not be what you're thinking but I would suggest you sell the P.C. cabs and buy 1 or 2 that will do what you want... What about the Barefaced Big Baby? It would potentially save a lot of headaches. ATB, Jon
9.
You do realise that you would be creating a forgery of a manufacturers product by doing this? I would imagine that Gibson would not be too keen on letting logo transfers out onto the market and third party suppliers who attempt to replicate the logo would find themselves in court pretty quickly. Gibson are not a company that thinks twice before issuing legal proceedings it seems... If you want to put a logo on your headstock then I'd suggest that choosing a different design would be a very good idea. Why not use your surname or something like that - if I made something that I was proud of then I'd want my name on it, not someone elses!
I'm at the other end of the spectrum and think 'go for it' as it's only a forgery if you try and sell it on as the genuine article.
10.
A huge thanks to Nik, Colin and co for working so hard to set this up and to those who gave teach-ins (compression was never so entertaining!). A good time was had by all! And as I understand a decent amount of money was raised for some worthwhile causes. RIP Old Git
I didn't get to see any of the seminars but would like to "+1" what Clarky has said here.
11. There's never too much time spent on here My homepage is Google UK by the way!
12. Went and bought a pickup from the shop a few years ago. In a very nice Hertfordshire town! (Hitchin)

17.
...Also check out the Barefacedbass Compact.
+1 to that.

19. Don't be silly. It's a great offer you're doing here for someone. How about a picture for us to see? That may help you shift it a bit quicker too...
20.
...From what I have kinda understood, 2 8ohm speakers make the impedance of a cabinet 4ohms, am I correct in thinking that?...
Speaker wiring can be a bit more complex than that. See below: Regards, Jon
21. Nice one Big Mick and can't wait to see your cab develop. Cheers, Jon
22. If it helps I'm well happy with my 2 Barefaced Compacts and they do a most excellent job! I recommend Alex's gear highly...
23.
I think this might be a case of us both reading without understanding the intention behind the text, a common email problem
Indeed and quite possibly! On the gig front - Do you D.I. your bass or run it all from the amp?
