1. Just been looking at this and must say it tickles my fancy as it does what I like - Take classic themes and mash 'em up to create something different! That is all!
 2.
A Fender Jazz, or a G&L SB-2 with a #6 neck. The #6 neck is a vintage size, trim and comfortable. The Jazz neck is 1.5" at the nut.
This^ If you want the sound and fancy a Jazz, then that's your answer. There must be a good used Fender USA Jazz on here somewhere... Good luck, Jon
 3. Rick, Are these now for sale with Andy Baxter? http://andybaxterbass.com/guitars.php Regards, Jon
 4.
Sorry to go OT but did you get the issue sorted out with the small luthier Jon?
Yes and The Gallery are setting it up this week... Watch this space for the post match report.
 5.
I seem to remember Basschatter wesfinn did this...
He did and I would suggest a PM to Wes to get all the goss. I would say from my experience that there's the same potential to be let down by a small luthier too and that if it's a CS Fender you want then go for it. Keep us posted, Cheers, Jon edit: Spelling!
 6. As with most things in life - The more you can spend the better the gear will be. My recommendation is save up and get some Sennheiser Evolution stuff. It is REALLY good. Also, check that the stuff you are getting/buying will be OK after the digital switchover next year. Cheers, Jon
 7. Is this a BC old friend that's been to a few members now?
 8.
rip it off, throw it away and start playing!!
This^
 9. I would recommend buying the Bill Fitzmaurice Omni 15 plans/design to use as it's a great bass cab. Click this link to find out about it: http://billfitzmaurice.com/Omni15.html Regards, Jon
 10.
...there is a very slight dink at the tip of the headstock - usual result of belting a drummer's head to keep him in time....
This has got to be the best quote/sales pitch this year so far! Nice one Bass Doc and good luck with the sale of this one. Regards, Jon
 11.
Clayton's sparkle bass...
+1 Both of 'em (the purple & gold) were very cool looking IMO
 12. A great bass with great character & story. Thanks for the 'show and tell' OHM!
 13.
Looks great onstage at Glasto.
+1
 14. Very nice B5. You going for it/one?
 15.
For the classic P-Bass thump I`d avoid the SD Quarter-Pounder. I`ve had them in a couple of basses, and to me they seemed to extend the highs and lows, but remove the mids - essentially de-Precisioning the sound - and have a slight "metallic" twang to them. Good pickups, but not classic P-bass sound, more modern sounding, in my opinion.
+1 And a +1 for giving Andy at Wizard a bell - he'll see you right!
 16.
Thanks Jon, I'll definitely have a try,a nd get some pics up! cheers
Marvellous and look forward to it!
 17.
Thanks, sounds too easy to be true!!! I'll have a gander later, and see what i can do. Do the images stay there indefinitely, or do they time-lapse?
It really is that easy! I believe as long as you log in and use it every now and again that the images stay there.
 18. Hi Rick, I use http://photobucket.com/ It's free and all you have to do is create an account and then upload photos from your computer onto your account. 19. Hello Mal and welcome. What style of music do you play? Cheers, Jon
 20. Just beautiful Rick and what a collection you've got! Do you have any picture links you could show with some more of your collection? Cheers, Jon

 22. The Fender Custom Shop ones like the Pino model are something else too...
 23. On the D.I. front the Sound Engineer will normally put it in between your bass and amp...
 24. Apologies if this has been mentioned before. Done a quick search and found nothing so here goes: After reading the chat on here about compression and what's nice to have on it the controls and meter on this thing make it look like the ideal candidate for getting some nice compression settings going with the bass...
