2.
One day, it'll be Gibson. Perhaps not in my lifetime
the EB's had their moment with glam in the 70s
 3. here's idea for next bass bash wear a blindfold and then be handed several basses one at a time and then judge them blind on how they feel/sound
 4. this is slowly becoming my main gigging bass - just treated it to a set of wizard thumpers i was lucky enough to find on the sale forum on here i dont tend to view my basses in terms of financial 'worth' i only judge them on how they sound and how they feel they each do a slightly different job and i certainly dont push my cheapie J aside just because some bean-counter says its only worth 20% of the value of my shiny TRB
 5. not too shabby considering he does that upside down left handed inside out back to front thing
 6.
Aphex Twin. **WARNING - some may find somewhat unsettling**:
you're not kidding - shot in thamesmead wasn't it
 7.
I also take a stand for my cabinet, it's built to look like a 4x10 cab (engineers have even asked where I want it mic'ed), folds down flat when not in use and has built in flashing LEDs.
8. shedloads of my current non-steroidal anti-inflammatory of choice a spare shirt (british summertime only)

 14. Christian McBride
 15. i do hope youre not afflicted with one of those sort of guitarers who insist on widdling all over the bloody as fast and frantically as possible in every space and opportunity? if you listen to the music and your inner groove tell you that root notes work then root notes it is maybe try listening to the tune and sing along what you would play as a bass line and then develope your root notes into that line given the preferred genres you play, it would be not unreasonable at all to not stray too far from roots and thirds and fifths anyways imho mcton etc
 16.
Sorry to hear that - I thought the stuff I'd heard really had something about it and I'd have thought that it was different enough to catch the ear of someone with a bit of influence. Just goes to show that talent simply isn't enough for a successful music career. I think I've mentioned before that our singer's lad got signed to Columbia during his first year of a music performance course at Bristol Uni and they've been pushing him everywhere. Now, he's a really nice guy and can write a catchy tune but enough 'star quality' to attract a major label? I wouldn't have said so - just goes to show what I know. http://www.thenation...ra_Cassy_O.html The music business works in mysterious ways.
a friend has connections to a fair few voice/xfactor hopefuls/contestants/applicants - the one thing the 'successful' ones seem to have in common is that they seem to be scouted from music production courses (call me cynical) - unless the scouts stumble across someone 'from the street' with exceptional raw talent then frankly the whole production is all just for pulp entertainment and the final product has been carefully chosen and directed and stage managed from the very outset to ensure maximum return for the capital venturists who provide tha initial financial stimulus funny game innit Nige - good luck though with your next project and whatever musical serendipity cares to bring your way
 17. widdlers be gone can we have more tasteful slow slapping like this please http://youtu.be/TdT4t0ywppA

 22.
can we have a slap off.?
haven't you been to a basschat bass bash?
 23.
I'm partial to some tasteful slab. Our band has recently added Hungary Like The Wolf to our set which had some simple octaves.
tasteful like this? http://youtu.be/xp4ndfacKs0
