  1. Hi Paul. Bank transfer is quick and painless, if you do online banking. Cheers, Sean
  2. Just got these on a bass trade, and I don't like them at all. Don't know anything about how old/used they might be, hopefully the pics help. £12 shipped within the UK
  3. Apologies if this has been done to death - I've just discovered why so many rave about the P bass. I had always thought, why have a single pickup when you can have two? Just acquired a Vintage V4 from Bill (Troubadour of this parish), and it sounds glorious. My question, then, is this :- is the fundamental tone of a P bass negatively affected by having a J pickup added? And if not, why are all P's not Pj's?
  4. Don't think I've ever used a thumb rest, just the floating thumb thing. The strings are La Bella white nylons. Awesome strings.
  5. I have the fretted 5 string, and it's a real grower. I liked it enough to buy it, obviously, but changed the strings--white nylons, E-C, and it's just got better and better and better. Goes from db to acoustic guitar convincingly, and a real solid presence. I've gigged it, with compliments on the sound, and it's really easy to play. Great neck, too. I'm a fan...
  6. Not sure if it's still available, but...
  7. I have this bass- it's just awesome. Does everything you could want. Buy it! Think there's one for sale on here...
  8. I would seriously recommend the C4 plus OTAB, with the Markbass preamp. I had the 5 string, and it was great, (but I really like the pickups anyway) £390 at Bass Direct....
  9. Sold my Ibanez Ergodyne to Marco. Communication was good, payment was quick, and Marco is a pleasure to work with. Cheers!
  10. Thanks Mr W. I think it's a steal, too, but it's a real buyer's market at the moment. Had some nibbles, but no real bites yet....
  11. For the rest of this month, I will let this one go for £150 posted...
  12. Just until the end of the month, I'm prepared to let this go at the criminal price of £700 plus postage...
  13. Thanks for a good, clear description. I'm contemplating something similar in the future, and this info helps. Ta
  14. I can see I'll have to give Roger a finder's fee-he's doing a better job of selling it than me!
