1. I bought this on Ebay a while ago, but i can't get on with the neck profile- it's just a shade too shallow and narrow for my comfort. It plays very nicely, strung with new Overwater flats, and it has been equipped with an Acoustic Ghost piezo pickup. The mid knob for the magnetic pickups has been replaced with the control knob for the piezo, which is a push/pull switch (light/dark) as well as volume. The ebayer I got it from had bought it as a fretted version, and he fitted a Mighty Mite ebonol fretless neck. He's also marked the fret positons inbetween the dot markers, and done a nice job. So all in all, this is a very playable fretless Precision, with it's own Fender gigbag. The only negative is very slight crackling on the pickup selector knob. I'm only after what I paid for it- £205 posted. I'm fairly new to posting here, but I've been reading and lurking for quite a while, and my ebay feedback is good (dapper-danman, 800+ positive). Sorry about the sideways pics! Thanks for reading.
2. Sorry about the sideways pics, still learning the ropes!
3. I bought this beauty from a fellow Basschatter some months ago, and it has almost been the perfect bass for me, apart from one problem I can't get over. I have some RSI problems in my left arm from work, and the smaller (than usual) top horn puts the top end of the neck well away from me. My hand falls naturally to about the 12th fret, and more than about 20 mins of playing up the top end really hurts me! I've stuck with it for ages, because the bass is so gorgeous in every way, but I've had to admit defeat. You probably all know how good these basses are, so I won't go on and on, but I'll happily answer any questions. It's strung with very recent Thomastik flats, and they sound ACE! It comes with a nice strap, and straplocks, and it's own hard case. I'm only after what I paid for it- £285 posted, which is good value for such a quality instrument. I will be putting it on Ebay next week, but I'd much rather it go to one of you guys. I'm fairly new to posting, but I've been lurking on the forum for a while, and my ebay feedback is very good (dapper-danman, 800+ positive feedback). 4. Thanks Mr Foxen, that's very helpful. It says an additional £60 should do it, which doesn't sound too bad (apart from the 'handling' fee). Think I'll bid on the lovely persimmon Hipper now on Ebay.
5. Can you tell me how much it costs to bring a Wishbass to this country? I love the look and ethos of these basses, but I've heard that customs charges are really steep. Thanks, Sean
6. Pm sent, not sure if it got through.
7. Just re-read your post. I'm too far away for collection. Sorry!
8. Hi there. I have a 4 string Retrovibe Musicman copy with a coil- tapped Varitone P-bass circuit installed. Mirrored pickguard and Nexus strings (new). It looks the business.Let me know if you're interested. Thanks, Sean
9.
The Mexican Fender Classic 50s Precision, and the more expensive Fender 57 Reissue are on the fat side.
Thanks everybody. I live in South Cumbria, so opportunities are limited, but maybe a trip to Bass Direct might be in order. Appreciate the input.
10. Hi there. I've been on the forum a while, but new to posting, so bear with me if I get anything wrong. I wanted to pick your brains on the subject of neck size (bass, not mine). I have owned a few basses, and tried a few more, but I don't have opportunity to try a great variety of different basses. I wanted to know which brands are known for having thick necks. I have a Retrovibe Musicman copy with a nice thick neck that I love, and I would like to maybe upgrade in the future. I find Jazz basses too thin for my fingers (depth, not width). If anybody has any pointers for me, I would be most grateful. Thanks!
11. Hi there. I've just got a fantastic Westone Thunder III fretless from a fellow Basschatter. The active preamp is on one knob ( bass boost one way, treble boost the other). I was wondering if I could rewire onto a double pot, and so be able to boost bass and treble at the same time. If that makes any sense, and any body can help, I would much appreciate it. Thanks!
12.
Okay, I certainly don't think this is overpriced, especially after asking advice on it and it's condition. This is a lovely bass (check out some of the comments above), but I need to recover some finances. I am willing to drop a little on the price. Make me a (serious) offer.
Hi there, if the bass is still for sale, I would be very interested. I can't come and see it, but everybody's comments back up what I know about these basses. Could you PM me for talking turkey about price? Thanks, Sean

Sold

Hi there, is this the same bass that sold on Ebay on 1st April? I was interested in the Ebay sale until I saw it was collection only.
14. Hi there, I'm new to Basschat (as a 'poster'). I've been reading the boards for quite a while, but your bass has made me join! I am a big fan of Paul Rose's work, and would like this bass. I don't really know the 'protocol', though. If it's still for sale, could you email me? Thanks.
