1. Jon, Indeed, but sadly they've ended up being worth Jack sh1t.....! My guitarist was `GASing for one real bad..... (a 6 string) ended up bying an original with history in mintish knick for £275..... it was a pig to set up for him but does sound quite nice...!
2.
Looking at the exact list of requirements, you'll struggle to tick ALL those boxes.
The Clover does Alex......
3. Oh and aonther..... "my first post is an advert thus cutting out ebay fees!"
4. Gallery is a shop in Lunnun tarn..... (very good shop too!) H 1s are excellent VFM .....but beware the finish is Nitro cellulose and an is thin so it WILL wear and dink.... it was put on to do this so it looks 'road used' very quickly. Just so your aware of that! I have an H 1 P http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18771 which I really had no intent to keep once I had done the project.... HOWEVER And this is a big however, its bl88dy superb now I've done it.... Dont get me wrong it was very good before (for what it cost) but now its something else... My advice FWIW, get he H1 and use it as a platform, a begining, Gensis if you will and dont be afraid to upgrade it when the funds are available.... I guarentee you, you will not be dissapointed, and you will genuinely notice the difference for your efforts.
5. You might have to spend more but this ticks all the boxes.... http://www.cloverbasses.com/index.php?id=9&bass=11
6. hmmmmmm he likes Maiden a little tooo much?
7. and slightly odd...... FFS who'd want West Hams logo painted on thier bass?
8. Played by Donald (toilet) Duck Dunn.
9. with a double flushbucker
10. A precistern......
11.
toilet bass...i'd buy one
Didnt know you were that flush....!
12. J, looking at it now its back together, if it were mine, I'd put black screws in the PG and black V+T knobs with a blk nut on teh jack and leave that white PG.... It looks pretty.....! Overall ...... Very well done on your 1st build.!
13. And to put the other perspective on it.... my guitarist has played his PRS 22 Custom through my Mesa bass amp (gently) and it sounded pretty good too..... Although as above, you wind it up and it'll complain in a *very* expensive way....
14. No I dont know much either but that one is mighty purdey.....
15. I believe you wil struggle with that one. Unless there is a kindly Roland tech on here that will copy one for you. Roland will I very much doubt release a circuit diagram for a current model as they will cry 'intellectual property rights' and just tell you to go to a Roland authorised tech.... and you know what they're going to say.....
16. and I believe they have them at.... Axes r us http://www.axesrus.com/
17.
A point of note: A fault would suggest that it was working fine and then through component failure or whatever a fault developed. My point is that the early versions of this Amp - through reasons of poor electrical engineering at 'the home of tone' were second grade to start with. A wider point is Mesa Engineering's disappointing responses - So to all of us in this 'exclusive' club (Oh dear)
So you got a bad one.... So your (possibly rightly) pi55ed off..... So your tech found what he believed to bad engineering in YOUR amp, which has a history (that you dont know), and you can't actually prove the faults were Mesa's ..... My heart goes out to you, no it really does, however you've had your rant, you've let us know your mad about it ..... Now please stop going on about it as they are obviously lots of us that have Mesa equipment and are happy with it. You've obviously not put the OP off buying his WS as his got it.... It just makes you sound very bitter.
18. Not yet.....
19.
I just got a boss br micro, its turning into a great bass trainer, many fine drum and metronome times in it plus all the other reasons for using it and its an mp3 player etc...
I have a Br as well, and as a drum machine its sh1te compared to the Zoom..... The br is a great pice of kit but a drum machine it aint....
20. Sean, I like it..... One thing you can be sure of with an Ibanez is, that however inexpensive they are they will be capable of being set up to play well. If you like it get, I'm sure it'll be nice to play. The electrics may be a bit odd as they tend to be on budget Jap basses but nothing we cant put right between us on here!
21. Many happy returns BC..... May you nave many more!
22. Zoom MRT-3..... 400 presets and you can programme up 100 tracks. I love it.....drum sounds are realistic. My guitarist and I practice to one when we're in between drummers (like now), and TBH? Its a damn sight more reliable. http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/mrt3/index.php
23. Welcome to our exclusive little club....... Dish the dirt, is it std black or is it a cancelled pimped order.... (like mine was!)
