  1. That things a beauty. Where did you find it?
  2. Aww dam, i've only just seen this via the sticky note system on the new site. As luck would have it, i'll be free tomorrow. I can bring: 75 Jetglo 4001 76 burgandyglo 4001 05 fireglo 4003 90's Fender jazz 62RI ampeg SVT300 and 810 cab 70's roost head. I too can't wait to see the Entwhistle tbird
  3. 2005 Gibson SG special guitar, USA made, faded cherry colour. £400 Excellent condition, good action, no headstock breaks. Sounds like an excellent SG. Upgraded tuners to Grovers, leaving the original screw holes visible, but allows very precise movement when tuning. Welcome to try. No trades.
  4. 2008 Fender MIM jazz, sunburst body, rosewood fretboard. £430 Its been upgraded with seymour duncan jazz pickups. Sounds just like a jazz. Good solid bass. Minimum fret wear, low action, no crackling from the controls. Not much else to say. Welcome to try, no trades. Based on the Wirral. Postage will be about £25, and will be sent with the neck off.
  5. I had one of those a while ago. Heavy plywood body, neck wasnt very good. Sounded okayish.
  6. nice looking bass, and the Active/Passive options will cover any audio ground thats required of it. That active onbard EQ is a monster. Ive got one in a pedal board, and its probably the best active EQ ive come across.
  7. maybe, but theyll only ever choose peavey/jackson/ESP basses. All about the look,. A 32 band EQ can reproduce any bass sound.
  8. Hmm, could be a time sensitive issue with a seller who has no transport and needs it shifted asap. The time specific collection is something I've not seen before, though i always like to give the benefit of the doubt as i've been in some money tight situations myself. I hope whoever bought it has put it to good use,
  9. I think that its more of an honesty thing than anything else. This is a community, and as such, people expect their fellow basschatters to be upfront and honest with them about value and prices, and more about enjoying the instrument than making money. After that, Gibson don't seem to be doing well these days, so their prices are dropping considerably. I mean, this is about the price of a brand new reissue epiphone bass. I can only imagine that freephone will become the parent brand within the next ten years, as it was once on par with Gibson.
  10. The seller appears to be a chinese shop, everythings from there, including all the sort of stuff you'd see on aliexpress. Maybe a language barrier, or its a bit like you trying to sell a washer dryer combo, and only knowing about 10% of the products information that people need to know.
  11. Its a very good punt. These days, Gibson seem to be putting more stock and effort into epiphone than Gibsons, almost making the Gibsons purposefully crap. The epiphone thunderbirds sound spot on in a band mix. Saying that, the only real new Gibson ive had was a Novaselic sig bass, and it was pretty good, besides the fact that the pickup adjustment screw sheared when i tried to lower the pickup.
  12. Active im assuming? I think you've probably helped hi,m get more potential bidders though.
  13. "custom made body" So essentially its £990 for a 1969 gibson bass neck. They were set necks weren't they, so how did it get removed?
  14. I think he may have searched for the guitar on ebay after listing it. Seen similar prices to the one its at now, and adjusted it. Maybe someone contacted him about it. If its a neck through, and all the electronics work, he'll probably get around £2-300
  15. I saw that. He originally had it up for £100, but i believe someone informed it of its value.
  16. Thanks dude. I ended up buying both of those. I was only after the casady bass, but he offered me the EB at a good price, so i ended up sending my brother who lived in Kent to pick them up.
