1. Im not a fan of the look without one tbh. It would suit a tort guard down to the ground.
2. Ive seen a couple of these now. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/312059-fender-62-reissue-p-bass-cij-oly-white-l675-posted-now-650-posted/page__p__3375981__hl__62__fromsearch__1#entry3375981
3. I just got a good deal on a Dunlop volume pedal, so as its got the foot grip, im selling this one. Just restrung it with some new Kevlar string so itll last a good few years. Comes with a spare too. £60 posted to your door. Generic pic of the exact model included.
4. The scratches are on the surface only, they go through to the primer. Im based on the Wirral, by liverpool. Neck is lovely, really jazz like. Though it is a bit thinner than most jazzes ive played.
5.

I was just about to post this.
6. Find a correct size bolt, saw, drill, and then tap it yourself. The wilkinson bridge is probably the easiest solution though.
7. USA and MEX 99% of the time fit eachother, scratchplate wise. Its the japanese ones where the issue lies.
8. It would probably be easier wiring it for a stacked vol vol as you'd have to find the right values for the pots in a stacked format, which may not be too easy. Though its probably doable, and i've not done it myself.
9. The scale lengths are the same, they have the same number of frets, but the heel of the neck seems to be more curved on the bronco bass, so it may not fit as snugly as the original one.
10. I dont think it will be as easy as that as you need to consider the wiring for the humbucker when just it is selected, as well as if you want the outer coil and single coil (jazz option) in series or parallel (jazz is normally parallel). As it stands, im not sure on how it would be wired up, though i suspect you would need the 4PDT switch (top right) for something this fancy. however, this site has a lot of schematics for wiring mods, and if you cant find what you're looking for, the owner can design you a custom diagram (i think he charges a fee, but i'd have a chat to him via email to see if its possible first). Its a great site for 90% of guitar wiring mods http://guitarelectronics.com/
11. This website is the dogs bollocks of 90% of most guitar wiring requirements. I get most of my info from here. http://guitarelectronics.com/ Not in that order, but these two seem to be what you're looking for: http://guitarelectro...south-coil-tap/ http://guitarelectro...north-coil-tap/
12. The extra wires won't be coming from the pickups, but a brass plate in each pickup cavity. Its the 70's version of copper tape shielding. Any standard Jazz pickup will fork fine.
13. Theres no "wrong" way to wire up the pots as long as they work how theyre supposed to. People change which lug the capacitor is connected to, and which lug the pickup hot wire is connected to. Yours is supposed to look like this picture.
14. Bought this as i needed a PJ, sounds amazing. But i've just got a jazz, so its no longer required. Excellent build quality and sound. I put different knobs on it had none when i bought it. Big scratch on the back, and a little surface rust on the bridge, but all works. £160 Collection only.
15. Took this out of my 62 RI jazz. Big alpha pots, jazz knobs, green cap. Standard business really. £25 posted.
16. Ive been looking for a celluloid scratchplate for my recently acquired 62 RI jazz. However, they all seem to be for the US/MEX models, and none say japanese. What is the difference between them?
17. Its the quo look though. And if the original parts fail, or are broken, its what you need to make it a gigging bass.
18. sounds pretty good, like a fat middle pickuped strat. Ill have to make a video of it.
