1. I believe this is a Blacktop Jazz Bass. http://www.fender.com/series/blacktop/blacktop-jazz-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-black/
2. I've been using Rotosound 55's on my Chris Larkin fretless for years. Never had any issues, great strings. Highly recommended
3. I utterly abhor anything by Rickenbacker with a passion, I dislike Gibson, Ashdown (as mentioned previously) headless basses, Fender Custom Shop Relic instruments - or any reliced instrument for that matter, single cut basses (again, mentioned previously) pointy basses, Joyo pedals, LED's, gold bridge/machines - tacky, tacky, TACKY! Basses with fanned frets - why do these things exist..?!! Ooooh, almost forgot - slapping a bass! No need!! Ever!! I could go on...
4. Delicious Cake - half covers (Funk/Soul/Rn'B/Disco/Rock) and half our own Funk/Rock material depending on the venue. No website/FB/Soundcloud as yet cos we're only just up and running. Tommani - Electronica outfit with tunes based around traditional Japanese folk music (yes I know it sounds odd!) Signed to Rock Aye Records, the clips on the soundcloud page are from the debut album "Banzai Bushi". The live show consists of two drummers, guitarist triggering samples, me on bass with various effects, didgeridoo and vocals. Occasionally also play for Red2Red - Reggae/Ska/Lovers Rock: https://myspace.com/red2red
5. Can this run two inputs to one output - i.e. two different basses (active fretless & passive fretted) into one amp head or does it have to be two in to two out? Cheers
6. I always do bits of 'F**k Her Gently' by Tenacious D. It totally annoys our singer and she tries to stop me singing it without fail! I'm just a big bairn at heart!
7. As has been mentioned above; they possibly assumed it was the venue's gear. I've made that mistake myself and plugged in to the amp on stage only to be told by the other bass player that it was his amp. I apologised of course just as the engineer was returning to the stage with the venue's combo - an ancient Carlsbro thing! Needless to say I take my own gear to gigs now!
8. Just found out about it this afternoon and read up a bit on it. I found this interview on Guardian website and had a read/look. Interviewer found him to be quite rude! Anyhoo it's not playing in Edinburgh til 30th as far as I can tell but me and a few 'muso' colleagues plan to go see it. Should be an eye-opener!
9. I have 'Fender' logo designs, a Trace Elliot t-shirt and more recently my girlfriend bought me one that says 'Dirty, Filthy, Nasty Bass' which I quite enjoy wearing!
10.
... a sound akin to a goose being strangled, which I quite enjoyed from time to time.
Oh my god, I think I just wet myself!

13. I only need glasses for reading so if I have to read during a gig then yes, if no reading then no specs!
14. Hey Chris, Jacko here (mate of Branagh/Bob Fairfoull/Karen etc) Good to have you on board man. Have yet to see Tommy Concrete but caught Lords of Bastard a fair few times. Your final Bastards gig at Bannermans was tremendous! Keep us posted regarding the next TC gig and hopefully I'll catch you there!
15.
Poo in his toaster the turn it on.......
Nah, do a Mike Paton and crap in his hairdryer. Next time he turns it on he'll get a facefull!
16. 'Sleeping Village' by Black Sabbath. Running through the whole album as flatmate is out. Will get onto 'No Sleep Til Hammersmith' after this! \m/
17. Why not take a track you like, learn the rudementary structure/chords and make the bass part yours? Both me and my guiatrist enjoy doing that with 'crowd pleasers' in our covers set. A prime example would be Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'. Our version is nothing like the original but it still retains the essence of the track so punters can enjoy it as well as us.
