1.
As I mentioned earlier I'd be happy to give a demo - either in small group or to the whole Bash if my embarrassment levels will tolerate it - explaining some slap and picking techniques that get away from relentless machine gun triplets and always riffing away in open E or A when slapping... I'd be happy to have a few others plugging in as well to enable them to learn or share any of the techniques discussed/demonstrated... Let me know if any of y'all is interested - we can always use one of the off-shoot performance rooms to do this in Cheers Mike
Yes I'd certainly be up for that......as I can't slap at all - we'll I've never even tried properly to be honest Thanks Mike. Angie

 10.
Haven't ever tried. I'd love to give it a go though.
+1....I plan to buy an 'entry-level' second hand fretless in the coming months to give it a go & see how I get on. Angie
 11. Not me I'm afraid....I'm very envious of those who can. I think I have an ok backing voice but have tried many times over the years to sing & play.....just can't do it. I think it's because I concentrate so much (too much?) on the bassline & drums.....I can't do two things at once! Angie
 12. Nice.....infact I've been looking at buying a VM Jazz '77 myself......with the white/pearl scratch plate you've convinced me! How are you finding it? Have you gigged with it? Angie
 13.
I'm with you on this Marvin. To me its all music. You either like it or you don't
Amen to that! Angie (a woman of few words................)

 15. Westone Thunder 1 in light oak. Lovely to play although the PUPs weren't great. Brought it in '92 for £50 from a guy in a Country & Western band.....fair amount of buckle rash! Wished I had kept it......... Angie
 16. Well after saying that I'd like to give it a whirl I've done a bit of investigating at my local church, Holy Trinity in Sunningdale. They have a few groups as far as I can tell & I've been invited along to a rehearsal tomorrow evening I'm nervous now..... Angie
 17. I'm a Christian but have never played Christian music. I have thought about venturing into it for a while now, Hillsong stuff & the like.......I'd like to give it a whirl. Angie
 18. Just had my copy drop through the door..........on page 63 is indeed Dood. Will have a good read through this evening. Angie
 19.
Did he wear a black t-shirt, high waisted trousers and have the initials SC?
20.
Found this, I don't know the Meddle album to know if this is accurate or not. http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/pink-floyd-...ss-tab-s50544t5
Sorry Megallica, you beat me to it! Angie
 21. Found this on Ultimate Guitar: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/p/pink_flo...earless_tab.htm It's for guitar but it gives you the chords.......can't seem to find a bass tab....... Angie
 22. I participated in a BOTB back in '95.....we got to the final & came second. Do I think it was because the winning band had more family & friends there? Oh yes! Our prize for being second was to record a 4 track demo (still have the cassette somewhere) which although sounded awful IMHO was a great learning curve as at that point I'd never been in a studio before..... Yes it's good business for the promoter, but I personally wouldn't do it again. A 'local band' evening yes but a 'battle' of bands no - I'd find it demoralising, but that's just my view. Angie
 23. Spotify while I work........currently James Brown - 'Stone to the Bone'. Angie
 24.
Welcome on board.. Never enough female bass players.....
Indeed..... Hi there & welcome. It's a great forum! Angie
