Aggie 12s all the way mate! To my ear, the GS range are a bit more aggressive with a fuller low end and slightly mid shy at volume, the DB range are a little warmer and trad sounding, but still aggressive but in a more middy kinda way. My preference is the GS112 though, would love 2 of the buggers and a 500W amp, the perfect set up, loud enough for most things but also modular and compact. I used to have just one but I've had to downsize for now When the time comes round again though, I doubt I'll look anywhere else... Eude

Nickel Lo-Riders are my strings of choice now, having been through a fair ol' few over the years, including all of DR's range. They're bright enough without being harsh. The seem to add a lovely warmth and a bit of grunt when you dig in. Just lovely lovely strings and the really seem to make my basses and more importantly my playing sound better SunBeams are real nice too, but a little more subtle, would be my second choice though. SS Lo-Riders aren't too bad either. As far as I'm concerned all DR strings are worth the extra cash, they last at least 2 or 3 times as long for me compared to common or garden varieties... I love the look of the little TC Electronics 12" cab, in different circumstances I might have gone for something like that and kept my LittleMark250, but unfortunately, circumstances have dictated that I really need to downsize as much as possible while still having something usable for real gigs... I'll be able to give you some real world feedback on this soon, got an acoustic gig in a festival in August where I'll be using this little bad boy. Ibanez's previous experience of amps has been pretty small and budget so I guess they've found it hard to shake off that stigma when lauching their "pro level" kit. I have to say, I have been pretty cautious too, I had my eye on this stuff as soon as the first press release came out, but I made sure to hold back and read up on the reliability etc. before making my purchase, which I do so with every confidence now Eude

As a result of that, his Junk Mail filter is set uber high which means he quite often misses emails, as they get accidentally junked. I did explain to him how to fix it, but he's obviously not had the time, but it'd save him a lot of time in the long run!... Eude
