1.
Ah yes I like to think me and Jon Shuker have a lot in common.... neither of us will win any Build A Bass Quickly prizes. Btw I have another build over on FB you might wanna have a wee butchers at.
Ha ha, yeah, know what you mean. Still, Jon built my 6er in 12 weeks all those years ago, things must've gotten a lot busier for him since then though, which is no bad thing I guess, I big wait time means he must be building basses folks are willing to wait for. Found your other thread, very interesting. I might bug you about helping to fix up a shorty next year if you're willing and able, or maybe just some advice, we can chat about it in Feb if that's cool with you, and that's assuming I can find something worth doing up/modding... Cheers, Eude
 2.
Yep. A pox on the pikey scum that puts a fecked neck up on the the bay with all the "straight as a die" BS in the description. It'll definitely be coming to Moffat.... but as Matt rightly predicted, I'll probably be still building it the night before. .
Looking forward to seeing it dude, and of course catching up with your good self Eude
 3.
Haha yes. I'll get onto it boss.
Good man You've unfortunately set a precedent after bringing along yer awesome Pingray last time. Some of us have come to expect a new creation each time now... Seriously though dude, you're scarily good at this, loving watching it come together. Now get back to the shed! Eude
 4. Looking good Rich! Shame about the neck, but every cloud I guess, the figuring on the SX fingerboard is lush So you think you'll have this up and running by February? Eude
 5.
My new home practice and small gig rig. A step away from EBS, I needed something I could carry and had a solid fat finger tone for acoustic funk gigs. This whole rig fits into a EA backpack and off I go! Damn sight better sounding than most mini practice combo's too... MarkBass LittleMark 250 EA Wizzy 10 Shep
Very nice dude, I miss the sound of my LittleMark/AguilarGS112 combination, amazing sound for the cash/size etc. Very happy with the little Promethean combo I replaced it with though too. How does the 10" handle the low B? Eude
 6.
New Aguilar Tonehammer 500, coming soon. New lightweight amp. Looks like it could be interesting for all the Aggy fans out there (like me lol).
Want!
 7.
I think they are listening to what people are saying, they make some really nice stuff now, a lot of it UK made great, Dan Gooday is probably lurkin on here somewhere, he is a bass player after all............
I hope so, would love to be able to "Buy British" Eude
 8. I'm really impressed with what Ashdown are coming out with at the moment. I've always wanted to like their kit but never really got on with it, but the past few months they've really been catching my attention. Wonder if they might take another stab at the micro market and get it right this time? Perhaps a single channel micro power section with a decent tube front end and some of this real classy vintage design thrown in... Either way, that Drophead looks brilliant! Eude
 9. 2!

 12. Wow dude! You must be chuffed to bits with these. They make the Squier look like a £90 ebay bass by comparison, and I'll bet they do the same tone-wise too. Oddly I like the look of the gloss one too, gloss body with a satin neck maybe?... Have you guys worked out a retail price on these yet? Eude
 13. Wow, bit late in the game, but some nice looking kit... They're doing a 150W and 350W versions of the head too, very cool. Like the idea of the built in bendable overdrive n'all. Eude
 14. Very nice dude, when do you reckon you'll have this done by? Eude
 15.
Here she is in action (and the Electra ) on Saturday night at a big Bollywood charity show for St Lukes Hospice. Bottle and Wiz, thanks for your help and very kind words
Pimp
 16. Nice one dude! Love the spec and love reading these build diaries, it's no substitute for a build of your own, but it helps... Eude
 17. +1 for ACG. Go with your gut feeling dude Eude
 18.
Oh really? In that case, I should comply too
Show off He he...
Ok then..... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=attach...st&id=53182
That is very very nice mate Eude
 19.
It's the Singlecut Custom at the end of the 3rd row,and the first two of row 4. Although it's now refinished in red,and looks far sexier.
You know you can't say something like that without showing pics mate, forum rules... Eude
 20.
Fantastic. The build quality is exceptional - everyone is handmade by Jon. As to spec, Jon will build pretty much whatever you want. I'm not sure what his current estimated build time is - I think I waited around 9 months for mine, which was pretty quick at the time!
12 weeks for my first Shuker, a rather fancy 6 string single cut, 12 months for my second one, a comparatively simple 4 string stealth Jazz Bass. Jon's had a few set backs with flooding (twice I think) amoung other things which have effected his build times over the last couple of years, this kinda stuff creates big set backs when you pretty much do everything yourself, so it can take a while to get back to normal. Fact is though, the basses are well worth the wait regardless of how long you wait I'm loving that buckeye burl Jazz Bass-esque 4 string on the left hand side of the Bolt-On page, very nice shape... Eude
 21. Drool.....
 22.

Yup looks really well proportioned matey, it barely looks like a 35" scale either, amazing bit of bass design there. Absolutely beautiful bass and I've really enjoyed following your build thread too - thank you for sharing! Eude
 23. Shoot, just re read it, it's a Protection Racket bag. They make great stuff for drummers, never did see a bass gig bag from them before...
 24. Not long now mate Is that a Protec Contego case too?... Eude
 25.
I know what you mean Eu, I'm in 2 minds about it myself but it doesn't look as weird in the flesh. I'm going to go off and research it, someone is bound to have done it before. At the moment I'm planning on doing it the same gold that I'm doing Matt's Gibby in... but it is a feckin pain to get right. I saw Geezer Butler with a gold Lakland the other day which swayed me to put myself through the hassle again. Daphne Blue is a simpler possibility and Black is another viable yet boring consideration.
Nice one Rich. Reckon Gold is the way forward, Matt's Gibbie is looking absolutely amazing, and of course, you can rest happily in the knowledge that yours will be perfect having practiced on his Eude
