1. "More children are playing instruments today than two decades ago..." But not the violin. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-29207240
2.
My CAR jazz has been up for five months
I'm surprised, those little Hondas get great reviews.
3. I have a bucket list. Can I borrow a spirit level?
4.
If you don't like it just delete it.
Hm... that's what spam emaillers used to say.
... terms and conditions ... longer than Macbeth
Did you know that Macbeth is Shakespeare's shortest play?
5. I recently got a pair of PreSonus Eris E5s (£109 each), and I'm very pleased with them. I compared them with the Yamahas in the same price bracket and I thought the Yammies were harsh.
6.
Pardon?
I SAID, "HOW ARE YOUR LISTENING SKILLS?"
7.
apparently there is a Dolby one like this too
No good for metal then
8. How are your listening skills? https://www.goldenears.philips.com/en/introduction.html Very interesting!

10. Apparently there are 500 million iTunes accounts. U2's last album sold 5 million.... so a quick and dirty calculation puts this as unwanted by 99% of users!
11. That'll teach us to click "Agree" without reading the T&Cs.
12.
Not sure it will plug straight in. You may need to look for an adapter on Ebay - maybe Thomann has a few in stock.
There might be something in the PrrrrrrrrrrreSonus range...
13. Thanks for the further ideas, I'll certainly give the fibreglass pencil a go.
14. I feared as much. But as you say, mo mojo! (Or replaceable if I decide I want lessjo.) Funny thing is, I have a couple of much older instruments which are spotless...
15. Hello friends, do you have any tips on cleaning up hardware which is becoming speckled with corrosion? My G&L JB-2 has pickup pole pieces and bridge saddles which are in need of a little TLC. This is fairly minor at the moment and doesn't show up too well in the pics, especially as the camera insisted on focusing on the bridge base plate rather than the saddles :-/
16.
You can do it with GarageBand no problem. It's been a while since I used GB but if you can add EZ Drummer to a channel as an effect/virtual instrument it will play using EZ Drummer's kit. (You can drag the midi files onto tracks with any other instrument too. I created a fun tune by doing that by accident.)
Thanks!
17. OK, firstly apologies for not saying THANK YOU earlier for the heads-up. Secondly... I'm just having my first play with it and I've watched the two-minute introduction video. Now, when I fire up Toontrack Solo and a loop into Garageband, as in the video, it,s a MIDI loop which plays using Garageband's sounds rather than EZD's sounds. So how do I get to use EZD's sounds from within my DAW? (I suspect the answer is that I can't do it with Garageband - but I will be able to use it as a plugin with ProTools, which I have on my main recording PC).
18. Snapped it up.... be back later to work out how to use it :-)
19.
Uhhh.. righty-ho. This might not be your kind of thread, then.
This is my kind've thread.
20. Funk is in the fingers. Or is it in the pics?
21. From a biblical perspective, there was also a knob missing in the story of the immaculate conception.... #coat
22.
I'm confused now. Is this Strat mint condition, or mint coloured or mint flavoured? and where does the custard fit in?
Spaghetti custard could work, sort of like a sweet macaroni pudding. If there's a choice, I prefer maple syrup to rosewood.
23. Did someone say Fender guitar, near mint?
24.
I think the honest answer is so you can look like a swaggering bell end.
Pah! As if I needed any extra gear to achieve that!
25. AFAIK it's the term "3+1" that MM own... others are free to build 3+1s but they're not allowed to call them "3+1"!
