I was going to say the Sandberg VS5 - available as 35 inch scale as an option and the specs say bridge spacing will go to 19.5mm They are usually 22 fret but they are have recently built some 24 fret extended fingerboards for Doug Johns and they do offer some minor custom work. Definitely worth an email!

Ace - I'll have a look at those. Thank you

When using the V2 amp with the DG Suit what level of tweaking can be done to the compressor? The manual is remarkably crap on that point. Can ratio / threshold / attack / release be set or is it pretty limited? ta.

There's a big warning on his page... https://www.facebook.com/ScottsBassLessons

Those are already on the list.

I've updated the list in the first post. Need to find out more about Markbass's new controllable Limiters on their new models to see if it is just a limiter or if there is more going on.

EZDrummer really is easy to use. It's very good.

They are all as good or as bad as each other. They shift millions of parcels every day and there will be a percentage that gets lost / destroyed / never collected. I've had brilliant and terrible service from all of them over the years.

When I removed my preamp I’m pretty sure it was solid shaft.

Do I tell the rest of the band...or keep it to myself?

If they are antivax conspiracy idiots I’d be quitting the band on principle. -
or without any good demo vids.

Mixing cabs is always a compromise. EQ settings cannot be perfect for both. Sell the 4x10 and get something that gives you what you need in a single cab, and then if you still want more, get another identical one.

From all over the world. Purposely limiting to just UK stuff is as cringy as the Americans and their ‘USA or nothing’ approach.

I'd love a stingray. I had a 5 until the medical issues got in the way too much. A really light 4 string would be lovely... BUT on the Specials EBMM have made the necks a little wider than they used to be and it's not right for me anymore. Gutted.

Even just sending out a couple to Nate Navarro / Patrick Hunter / Scott Wotsit / and the BassTheWorld guys would be great. When Darkglass or similar launches - on launch day there are probably 10 different videos all available immediately, recorded in advance to a high quality, and with very different players so a proper feel of the range of the product can be had. It creates a lot of traffic mentioning the brand name and those vids appear on their own channels but linked to DG. I've seen the older Phil Mann vids that Ashdown have and he's a great player, but he talks for the first 10 mins and then has 2 mins of playing. That old fashioned approach just looks so antiquated now and give no clue as to what the item sounds like in a mix. Good modern demos need a 1-2 min full mix intro tune, then a quick run down of features and tones, then the sounds used in the intro tune again but solo'd. If Ashdown were to follow the Pete Thorn approach to gear demos they couldn't go wrong. I don't know how much DG pay the video guys but DG do the new product launch better than anyone else at the moment so it's clearly worth the money.

Little known fact - for a clean loop you don't need to patch the LS to itself. It doesn't that internally. Just don't plug any patch cables into that loop. Personally I'd put the fuzz, overdrive and synth in a loop to allow a clean blend, but put all the others in the normal chain. OR - a nice thing is to put the Fuzz and drive on 1 loop, and the synth in the other. Blending filth with synth is great!

There's a Myung one as well. Ashdown really need to up their demo vid game though - just about everyone else would have had vids by half a dozen youtubers ready for launch day.

What are you trying to achieve? Without knowing that it's difficult to say. Are you wanting a 1 press to turn everything on? Or are you wanting a clean blend with some of the pedals? Which ones? Often a useful idea to get a pad and sketch out what you want when signal chains start getting more complicated than a straight serial connection.
