2.
For example....?
Something like: Sale or Trade Value: £25 ABC Delay Pedal £25 XYZ Chorus Pedal £45 DEF Distortion Pedal £65 HIJ DI Box £20
 3. When I started playing there were no 'backing tracks' other than what could be dumped onto a cassette tape and there certainly weren't any local bands using them. I accept that things have moved on but I'm firmly keeping my feet planted in the past on this one.
 4. I just go for a tiny bit of chorus, the same default I use for bass guitar. The sort of amount where you don't quite realise it's there until it's gone.
 5.
Absolutely love his playing on that - was the first time I heard Danny back in the mid-80s when I was a Japan fan and I fell in love with his singular, buzzy tone
The thing that still astonishes me about him is that every time I think I know where I've 'heard him first', it turns out that he's played on something I've heard earlier.
 6. If you don't see smoke then you ain't doing it right...
 7. What I find amazing is that he's still battling on with the charade.
 8. I always thought they were just cosmetically pimped Jazz Basses with an active circuit.
 9. The Marketplace rules have been updated to reflect the changes in moderation that have been bought about by the introduction of 'paid for' advertisements. We are finding only an extremely small percentage of advertisements which don't already adhere to these criteria, so for the overwhelming majority this is going to be a bit of a 'non event'. 9) The following will result in an advert being removed without prior notice. i) Adding any extra items to any pre-existing advert. ii) Adverts containing multiple items not having a valuation amount that reflects the combined value of those items. iii)Trade adverts that do not show the cash equivalent of the item being traded. Use of the Marketplace is offered on the basis of good faith. The mods/admin accept that 'mistakes' can happen but members should be aware that a pattern of two or more breaches of the above terms may risk loss of access to the Marketplace. Mistakes in the valuation of an ad are not editable and will require a new ad to correct. Speak to one of the mods if you have made a mistake as soon as the advert is posted. The full Marketplace T&C's are available here

 11. That sounds like something around the input socket. It'll be a switched socket, so either there are some wires reversed or the socket is faulty.
 12. I usually just hum bits of the melody to myself while I'm playing. Fortunately, those are never recorded.
 13.
My CV is going to flip!!
That lot reads more like the start of an autobiography than entries on a CV. Congratulations.
 14.
Mods, if this is an illegal manouver,
It's certainly not I'm sure people will be here shortly with some good tips.
 15. Yep
 16.
The way it was explained to me, in simple terms, if that the way that a shop bought bass is logged against the buyer means that they have to take it back as a used item if they take it back and therefore have to sell it as such. It's different for distance buying. So their hands are tied, effectively.
So how do they cope if they sell a bass via eBay? I think they're spinning you a line mate.

 18. You don't want to be using 9v directly connected to an LED, you'll blow it.
 19.
When I got home I'd received an email counter offer with a note saying if I rang the shop they could do me a good price as they wouldn't be paying fees.
If you call it 'helping to maintain your reputation with Ebay', there's your answer.
 20.
Can you change the colour to something like a cyan, and/or maybe flash on and off.
I'll add customisation to the list, but it's a pretty long list so I can't make any promises.
 21.
I do like those polo shirts!
Kiwi & Ped actually embroider those by hand you know.
 22.
If anybody is that desperate to sell quickly, surely they can put it in their signature anyway.
Nope. There's even a Marketplace rule specifically banning that. Before anyone askes me, I don't know why.
 23.
But.... these people are now paying, in effect, for an ad... Should there be such a firm 36 hrs...??
The 36hr rule was put in place to give everyone a fair chance of having their advert shown on the first page or two of the forum without it being deluged by bumped ads within an hour of being posted. Now, this is only my opinion, but if people are now paying for ads, we have even more responsibility for ensuring an ad is given the fairest chance of success without being deluged.
 24.
The mods should be harder on the 36 hour bumping rule in market place but that's my ONLY criticism.
With the number of Marketplace posts we get on a daily basis, the 36 hour bumping rule is probably the hardest thing for us to spot being broken. If anyone spots it being broken then click the 'Report' button or send us a PM - just let us know and we'll sort it out.
