1. Oh dear. Looks like the drain has backed up again...
2. The only patois I know is that block paved area in the garden where the barbecue sits...
3. Two questions. Does 'wagwan' mean 'again'? And if so, is this...
The list is long but now we have te funds to help us reach our goals.
supposed to say 'goats'?
4. I block ad.click.net, twitter, facebook and a whole host of other plugins. It's surprising how fast a page will load when I cut through all the 'extras' that I'm not even vaguely interested in.
5.
I've spoken with a few over the years who don't like the music. don't like the tone, don't like the bass playing tunes up front etc. etc. All this from players who were themselves barely adequate in my opinion - was it jealousy? Or did they really just simply not understand the music?
It's not 'jealousy' and not liking him certainly does not make me a 'barely adequate' player. It's not even a case of 'not understanding the music', it just bores me to the point where I just can't be bothered to listen to it. Do I get het up about it? Do I heck, I just steer clear of it and get on with stuff that matters to me.
6.
personally (and I'm biased because I used to work for them) I couldn't recommend anything higher than a secondhand Studiomaster Trilogy 166 for that spec, although it doesn't have in-built effects so you'd need an outboard reverb unit if that's something you use.
I used to sell Studiomaster kit back in the 80's. Absolutely fabulous kit that I'm still seeing used some 30 years later.
7. I'd never even heard of him until I joined BC. I've tried listening to him but he just doesn't press any buttons for me.
8. He's being polite - it's more like a scene from James Herriot than washing up...
9.

So it could have been called dogging..?
10.
She didn't have anything to do with it, mind, but it just goes to show, doesn't it?
Yep. Singing songs about skinny asses is never going to end well...
11.
Who can forget 'Little Donkey'?
I have been trying to for many many years...
12.
the toneprint thing looks interesting, I watched a youtube vid showing how to upload them to the amp by holding your phone next to the pickup on the guitar and via the app it sends a sound to the amp that changes the tone print!
Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me...
13.
So I have been neglecting my theory and general 'music' practice of late. :-(
There's a bit of a balancing act to be had here. There's a whole pile of other useful stuff you're getting exposed to that you just can't learn in a book or classroom. You can choose when to learn some theory, you can't choose when to hone your practical skills.
14. Although of course, if it's a very small knob then it's probably an ego boost...
15. My 'default' at the moment is playing in three bands and a duo. I also do a fair bit of recording and dep work. It's 'doable' but you have to be as organised as hell.
16. Matt - seems like someone jumped the gun as we generally leave threads open until they say 'SOLD'. Apologies for that, I've just marked the ad as 'SOLD' to save you the trouble.
17. The mods have noticed. Please move any breakables from the vicinity of your windows as we will be swinging through them on ropes shortly. Thankyou for your cooperation...
18. Low B's are generally a little bit flappier than you're probably used to as a 4 string player, unless you're spending megabucks. The easiest 'fix' is to replace the B string with a slightly heavier gauge - I generally stick a .135 on there and it works just fine. I've also noticed that I have a slight change in playing style as well, I tend to be just a tad gentler with the B and tilt the pups slightly to compensate. Dunno about the electronics on your bass, but there's now't wrong with walking on the dark side.
19. I've just had a quick experiment and I can confirm that. If you have a URL with https then you must remove the 's' from the URL or it wont work.
20. It really depends on the venues you tend to play at. We play a lot of hotels that insist on PLI - we keep a laminated copy of ours in the lead box.
21. It's a possibility. My experience is that there are a few people who just 'get it wrong', however there are definitely some people who try to use the 'free ads under £50' concession to try and pull a fast one. We don't mind genuine mistakes, but we're not going to put up with people who are just out to take the p*ss out of everyone else.
22. I'm going to just back away V E R Y S L O W L Y now....
23.
He'll just remix you into some weird glitchy dance track mate
It certainly would be weird and glitchy...
24.
Keeps the Mods busy
Noted and added to my 'things to do list' ...just below the note that says 'track Skol303 down and play sea shanties at him'
25. I've not heard of the interviewees so haven't really taken any notice of them. Having said that, I'm well known for not knowing who people are, so that's probably not a huge surprise.
