1. 1998 Sherwood Green. Why not?
2.
There are 12 stack knobs currently available on public sale, only 2 3-knobs, including this.
Rick, is there a search engine for this kind of data? ;-)
3. Go for it, drT! I just sold my 89 Blueburst recently. Great year(s) for EBMMs, lovely neck profiles and figuring.
4. That was the winning bid... You should, it's a lovely finish!
5. Might not be representative but I noticed this 1991 Blueburst in pretty good nick (including original case) selling on Ebay today for £560. And that's one of the rarer finishes. Wow! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ernie-Ball-Musicman-Stingray-Bass-guitar-/111025164358?ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME%3AX%3ARTQ%3AGB%3A1123&item=111025164358&nma=true&si=jL8M0mlH5USDNAziXodtJhH7yj8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
6. Looks nice but you'll have to add a few more photos...
7. Back on his site. Now for just under £16K. http://www.andybaxterbass.com/details.php?id=399
8. Nice. Do you have the OHSC? Are you sure the decal is original?
9. They look great. 10.5 lbs according to website - another challenge to find a light-ish one.
10.
True but unlike fender just throwing together bits of existing models to make a reissue often technically wrong even when they had the right bits all along the classic rays have required pats not made or fitted on their bases for years by MM or ever by ebmm.
I'm all for reissuing punctuation.
11. Great basses. Only downside for me is the weight - it's difficult to find a light(-ish) one... I'm still looking!
12. Seems to have disappeared from the website... Sold already?
13.
if you knew anything about vintage fenders you would know it's not an original.
I thought I did but it's not enough obviously. Must buy more of them.
14. If he puts a date of manufacture in the pickup cavity, I do apologize.
15. Or you could say, it's a fake, depending on your perspective. The guy is obviously very skilled, and I don't think he's out to fool anyone but it doesn't seem to stop with the external features. IIRC, I've seen one of his creations, a 'replica' of a 60s Jazz, which had an authentic looking neck stamp. There's potential for deception, whether intended or not, once an instrument has changed hands a few times over the years. It's a Bravewood, not a Fender, and should be clearly labelled as such.
16. So why is there a Fender decal on the headstock?
17. Nice. What's the bridge on this one - threaded saddles or single groove?
