  1. New to me 5 string USA P arrived yesterday. It is absolutely wonderful to play. Got it setup with Ken Smith master series taper core strings which are my new favourite roundwounds, got two other P’s strung with flats so decided for rounds on this one. Going to gig it tonight so really looking forward to seeing how it performs! Only question now is… gold anodised pickguard or not?!
  2. Thanks! Yes LaBellas they’re about 2 years old so still fresh! 😂! The fretboard is Laurel, someone did a good job of lining up a bit of the circular grain around a fret dot which I really appreciate!
  3. A couple of shots of my Squier CV60s P Bass with Aguilar Pickups at a recent studio recording session, I don't know what it is but this bass is very special.
  4. How weird! I’m also sending a Cort bass back to Guitar Guitar, it’ll be with them tomorrow. Mine was the Artisan A5 but similarly I wasn’t totally happy with it for various reasons! QC slipping? My experience with Cort has always been positive, hopefully it’s just a blip!
  5. Labella Deep Talkin’ flats every time!
  6. I have a full time job, 2 kids, 2 dogs and a wife. I play bars for £500. I'm taking my iPad, hopefully you won't be offended.
  7. Completely disagree, musicians have always used sheet music or pieces of paper with their notes scribbled down on, this is the modern day equivalent, I wouldn’t expect my singer to remember every word to every song of our 6 hour+ repertoire so why should I for every bass note?
  8. My band play so much material that we all have our ipads on stands at most gigs, some members with sheet music and some like me use chord sheets or just note pages that I've made at practice, A decent chord sheet will get you through most songs, we're playing for 2 hours tonight and I think I'd only need the chord sheets for 20% of the gig but it's still there if I need it.
  9. P Bass loom removed from a Squier CV 60's P Bass. Alpha pots. Immaculate condition. £10 shipped. Thanks,
  10. So nice!
  11. I don’t understand what the lines are on the finish? Beautiful bass I’ve always loved the Mr Tees
  12. My Ken Smith BSR5EG Black Tiger Elite is pretty much my dream bass, doesn’t really get much better than this. It is a joy. Edited with photos now, as it was rude of me not to post them!
  13. Funk / soul / Motown here! Our typical bar / club sets are 3 hours, 9pm till midnight. Weddings, events and parties differ between clients, but around the same with breaks.
  14. Jez bought an EMG PJ set from me, perfect buyer start to finish. Thanks again Jez!
  15. Mike bought an EMG pickup from me and was the ideal buyer, fast payment, good comms, all positive! Thanks again!
  16. Oh man these basses are so good! In my covers band which gigs 4-5 times a month this is my main bass and it see’s every show, I’ve got an Aguilar pickup in mine but even when it was stock it was incredible! GLWTS
  17. Beautiful! (Writing this while hugging my black tiger), you sure you’re not going to regret selling it?
  18. Selling these as untested, they've been in my bits box for years just found them, they're the older unsolderless jobs, I have a multimeter in the garage so I can check them and update the thread. For 4 string. Thanks,
  19. An older MEC 2 Band EQ, this was taken out of Warwick Streamer a few years ago. I think everything is operational, I have the wiring diagram which I can attach to this thread when I find it! Active / Passive / push pull Blend Bass Treble Potted Preamp £15 posted. Thanks,
  20. EMG P-Bass Pickup, active. Pickup is in great condition. Comes with loom which I think is complete!. No screws though £45 posted.
