  1. What the hell? Have people actually seen the vendor list you’re potentially voluntarily and forcibly consenting to? I’m on an iPhone and I can scroll non stop down a list of companies I’ve never heard of for minutes, there’s hundreds of them, on my phone all pre consented to, and some vendors have an automatic consent tick box that you can’t untick? If you have a spare hour you can untick the ones that let you and suffer the rest. I don’t consent to any of these third parties having my data. There are no reject all options, so what are my options as a PAYING user on this platform? Is my only option to stop using the site? seriously what gives?
  2. My first bass! Bought it 22 years ago!!

  4. If only it was 5! Lovely looking bass!
  5. I had a Gen 1 (V5 I think) 5 string Jazz Bass, it was an excellent instrument, preamp had a load of options and was very flexible, passive mode was there for when I wanted a more vintage bridge tone, it was excellent and I had no complaints, but like most of my gear it got moved on anyway 🤪!
  6. I’ve used their bridges before, the adjustable 3D style ones, solid enough if a little lightweight, it does it’s job very well for its price point. Can’t beat a Schaller 3D roller bridge though!
  7. My absolute favourite pedal of all time, couldn't do without it!
  8. 5 Strings all the way for me! Prefer the feel, prefer the sound!
  9. My band is currently doing this, our approach is we all chip in and then the band owns the PA not one individual. If I left the band I’d have no claim to it. Our plan is to eventually pay ourselves back through gigs at which point we’ll all be happy… but probably looking to invest in more gear! We also want to buy an IEM system but PA first 😀
  10. It’s barky with a little bit of bite…
  11. Hope everything is smooth sailing for you mate! Fingers crossed!
  12. I’m so happy it’s not just me then, it was so frustrating!
  13. It would be great if they do get a DHL man to come and get it, have they told you yet? Firstly they try and palm you off with a DHL drop off service where you need to take the parcel to a shop where “it will be picked up” ? Great if that’s not the case though! As it was hell.
  14. God don’t get me started on Thomann and their returns. I couldn’t even get anyone to take my parcel off me in the first instance and I tried lots of those DHL drop off sites (all corner shops) no one wanted a bass in their shop store room and refused to take it… One shop mentioned the DHL man hadn’t been for 2 months… she showed me her stock room and it was just floor to ceiling of un collected returns parcels. In the end after threatening Thomann with legal action (I was really at the end of my tether) they got the DHL man to come to me to get the parcel from my home address and it went direct to them and within a couple of days I had my refund, but it took months and I won’t buy from them again as the returns are a bloody nightmare and the customer service team couldn’t care less.
  15. I think it needs one more bolt just to be sure…
  16. Think most of the good stuff is posted but a massive shout out to Robiq who is a monster bass player and has some incredible basses and grooves. https://m.youtube.com/@Robiq
  17. Haha! I think they’re much of a muchness there!
  18. Yep 👍 when I deal with BassDirect and BassBros I’m happy to take a small hit compared to what a private sale would get me. For me it’s so much less hassle and an added bonus is they’re both on my doorstep.
  19. I use Small Comfort Straps, adjusted almost as short as they will go! I like to wear my basses like necklaces!
