  1. I have a full time job, 2 kids, 2 dogs and a wife. I play bars for £500. I'm taking my iPad, hopefully you won't be offended.
  2. Completely disagree, musicians have always used sheet music or pieces of paper with their notes scribbled down on, this is the modern day equivalent, I wouldn’t expect my singer to remember every word to every song of our 6 hour+ repertoire so why should I for every bass note?
  3. My band play so much material that we all have our ipads on stands at most gigs, some members with sheet music and some like me use chord sheets or just note pages that I've made at practice, A decent chord sheet will get you through most songs, we're playing for 2 hours tonight and I think I'd only need the chord sheets for 20% of the gig but it's still there if I need it.
  4. P Bass loom removed from a Squier CV 60's P Bass. Alpha pots. Immaculate condition. £10 shipped. Thanks,
  5. So nice!
  6. I don’t understand what the lines are on the finish? Beautiful bass I’ve always loved the Mr Tees
  7. My Ken Smith BSR5EG Black Tiger Elite is pretty much my dream bass, doesn’t really get much better than this. It is a joy. Edited with photos now, as it was rude of me not to post them!
  8. Funk / soul / Motown here! Our typical bar / club sets are 3 hours, 9pm till midnight. Weddings, events and parties differ between clients, but around the same with breaks.
  9. Jez bought an EMG PJ set from me, perfect buyer start to finish. Thanks again Jez!
  10. Mike bought an EMG pickup from me and was the ideal buyer, fast payment, good comms, all positive! Thanks again!
  11. Oh man these basses are so good! In my covers band which gigs 4-5 times a month this is my main bass and it see’s every show, I’ve got an Aguilar pickup in mine but even when it was stock it was incredible! GLWTS
  12. Beautiful! (Writing this while hugging my black tiger), you sure you’re not going to regret selling it?
  13. Selling these as untested, they've been in my bits box for years just found them, they're the older unsolderless jobs, I have a multimeter in the garage so I can check them and update the thread. For 4 string. Thanks,
  14. An older MEC 2 Band EQ, this was taken out of Warwick Streamer a few years ago. I think everything is operational, I have the wiring diagram which I can attach to this thread when I find it! Active / Passive / push pull Blend Bass Treble Potted Preamp £15 posted. Thanks,
  15. EMG P-Bass Pickup, active. Pickup is in great condition. Comes with loom which I think is complete!. No screws though £45 posted.

  17. Here's my Warwick Streamer Bass from 1989 with original hardcase. The bass has new EMG solderless PJ Pickups and EMG BTC Preamp circuit as they sound so so good in this bass, they're wired to a brand new switch craft jack. There is also the original truss rod tool and a new cleaning cloth. No trades thanks. Thanks!
  18. I agree with Burns Bass, if the seller has handed it over to the courier as intended then it’s not really his concern, it would be unfair for him to lose the cab and the money, but completely understand it’s the same for you. It’s what postage insurance is for, it’s not nice paying £20 to fully insure something but it’s there for moments like this. What is it that you want the seller to do?
  19. I find myself rooting for Letts to fail in this particular instance as it makes for good drama and an excellent read on here, I feel like we all know the outcome we’re just here to see how bad it gets. However I’ll again express my sympathies with your plight as it’s just every bassists worst nightmare surely!!
  20. They will with ease! They’re brilliant little things! Tip for application, they’re on a sheet like stamps, get one off, peel the top layer of paper off and leave the backing on, then put the glu dot on the bass and then peel the back off like double sided tape, my first instinct was to peel the glu dot off the sheet and that just resulted in me messing a load up with my big man hands! Much easier to do it the way mentioned above! 👆
  21. The normal ones will be absolutely fine in your case! Easier to remove too!
  22. Oh and I think the bass looks absolutely fantastic! Such a nice story and now you’ve made it completely yours!
