    Not quite a NBD rather a New Bass 3 weeks ago day... but in that time I have been playing this wonderful bass non stop, it's got that wonderful sound I want and it feels just incredible, it's such a joy. I got it from BassDirect recently as part of their shipment of 5 basses from Sleek Elite in Japan, this model has Hajime Hirose's sig in it and was completed 1 day before my birthday in feb this year! So... meant to be as they say. Here's my cheesy mugshot in BassDirect picking it up; The top on the bass is book matched Rosewood and while it looks quite dark in the photo above there is so much grain pattern to admire; The fngerboard is Macassar Ebony and It has a matching book matched rosewood headstock The body is two pieces of swamp ash and the neck is 3 piece maple I took some photos of the top in today's gorgeous sunshine too, so as well as showing dust and some lacquer swirling it shows how holographic the grain on this bass is I'm really happy with the bass, it sounds killer, had it at 1 band practice and the bass lifted everything in the room it's so clear with huge lows and so much mix cut.

    Hi guys, Recently picked up this outstanding 5 string USA P from bass bros for £1.1k but as I currently have 3 5 string P's in the house the last in is first out. It's been setup really well after purchase with a very low action and a brand new set of LaBella deep talkin' flats, sounds amazing, looks amazing, plays amazing... amazing. Below is the Bass Bros spiel and I'm using Will's photos as they're much better than what I could do. Comes with original flight case and all case candy. Shipping is by 24 hour UPS at a cost of £40. Trades are a maybe, just not a 5 string P Bass... oh but any trade must be 5 string. ---------------- This great 2009 Fender American Standard Precision Bass V, in the classic olympic white finish with tortoiseshell pickguard, plays and sounds unbelievably great! It is in great condition for its age, with some very small marks to the body but nothing major. We have given the bass a full health check including checking trussrod, electronics, etc. Everything works perfectly as it should.     Hi, I owned one of these too, they’re Streamer LTDs and as mentioned have Birds Eye Maple caps and the fingerboard should be ebony. The Bartolinis are BC4C soapbars and sound brilliant. GLWTS

    Hi! So I have the BEAG strings thru body and the D top loaded as the string wouldn’t reach the tuner for a wind thru body, but! I can’t notice much difference if any, it’s only a few mm so I’m not too surprised! It’s setup lovely now and it’s very fun to play so no need to change just yet!

    Got my beautiful new 2009 USA 5 string P from Bass Bros last week, just got round to setting it up with Labella Flats, it’s absolutely gorgeous! bonus dog content! TBF it’s her sun spot chair!

    Nope. I won’t see a sniff of my money until they’ve picked it up, sent it to their depot in the uk and then sent it back to Germany. It can take 14 working days for the bass to get back to them so I’ll be lucky if I get my money back before December.
