1. I watched it and thought it was ok apart from the people who insist on playing acoustic guitar as though it is a set of drums. It was old and tedious 5 years ago and if I never see anyone doing it again it would be too soon.
2.
I've seen this on facebook in multiple groups/pages. Personally I'd be careful with the accusations. It's one thing to name and shame someone, but another to set up facebook groups/pages to hound the accused. I think this could turn round and bite you in the backside if you're not careful. Not condoning whats happened here, just be pragmatic and chalk it up to experience....
What a strange post, is it just me or does anyone else think that no matter if the op was too trusting or not, you don't just put a £1500 bass loss 'down to experience'. Can't quite get my head round you appearing to warn the op off? Very strange.
3. Quick look on facebook seems to suggest he's a serial con man. He deserves hounding.
4. The police seem to deal with less and less criminal activity lately but if you found out where the thief lived, got your property back and gave him a well deserved beating, they would be on your case in a flash. It's a never ending circle of crime, all because the coppers no longer do the job they should be doing. It won't end well. Good luck and hopefully I'm wrong in this instance and you get your bass back.
5. If I see anyone buying/selling or asking where they can get logo's from I make a note of it mentally and will never buy any related gear from them. I realise this may well be over the top and display an alarming lack of trust in my fellow man but it's something I have always done.
6. Burn it and scatter its ashes at the four corners of the earth.
7. Nice that. Would be great for a rocker billy sort of band.
8. Irongear pickups are good, I bought a set of strat pickups and was very impressed with them. Not expensive either. Well worth trying.
9. Seems like a decent mark up that.
10. But its bespoke crafted! It's not a looker is it.
11. I despise these parasites that come out when a celebrity dies. Touting shyte that has tenuous links to the dead person. Horrible people.
12. There was a thread about this a while ago with a link to some great exercises that were done with a really simple aparatus but I can't remember either the site or the exercise! It involved rotating the apararatus either left or right depending on whether you had tennis elbow or the other elbow. This is not not much help I know but hopefully someone will chip in with the link or exercise.
13. Apart from the headstock, I think it looks alright.
14. It seems as it stands that the owners actions were a bit dubious at the least. I would put in the pot thinking the band were getting the cash as an extra tip. I would not play again, life is too short to spend it being took adbvantage of by people with questionable morals.
15.
Both of you, with respect, keep your ignorant and patronising opinions to yourself. I am a long standing member of this forum who plays bass (yes!), and guitar, and i am a professional producer making music for my living. I happen to have a few items of music related gear that I want to sell. I am simply politely suggesting some thoughts on the classifieds which forms a lot of the activity on this site. Check my feedback - I not a 'business seller' or 'someone who deals in computers' etc and I really don't appreciate being patronised in that tone. Thanks Ted
You can't accuse people of being patronising and ignorant whilst been patronising and ignorant, it's not the done thing. You have made this suggestion about this forum more than once and to be honest it would appear that everyone, or most people, besides you realise that this is not ebay. If I offended you by suggesting you were tight and we're attempting to milk the annual fee I will take this into consideration during any future interaction. All the best
16.
Ok then I appreciate the 'other items' is already quite a busy forum, SO I propose two things!: 1. 'sell anything' forum is unlocked so that anyone can view it. It's currently locked to members only for some reason, which undoubtably doesn't help. 2. It is moved up the list so that it sits below 'other items' , this would bring it into line as a proper classifieds area rather than the poor cousin to the other areas! p.s. selling legit software is not difficult
There are a few sites you could try if you want to sell non bass stuff to non members, ebay and gumtree spring to mind. Is this campaign all for the sake of being able to get your £20 annual selling fees worth and trying to sell masses of stuff on here that nobody here obviously doesn't want or need? It's a bass players site for mainly hobbyists who come here in their leasure time to mix with like minded people not a handy collection of customers for you to bother with old record players and computers. Sorry if that sounds harsh but I'm sick to death of people trying to make money out of others when it's not wanted, there are plenty of other sites to sell this stuff, I suggest you stop bothering volunteer admin with your business problems and find an appropriate site that caters to your needs.
17.
I could make a computer "Music specific" By installing i-tunes by that measure. Sell Anything is perfectly good for its use if there was more call for selling computers then it would be a busier. When I look for other items I am looking for bass and guitar parts, not computer parts. It's an already saturated forum section that does not need more posts. Especially when some members clearly deal in computers for a living yet still allowed to post! We are a Bass site, not a general stuff for sale site. It took forever to get a Sell Anything section and it serves the purpose.
Well put, I totally agree. Would it be called the sell anything that doesn't fit in the sell anything forum? If people wanted to buy other stuff, the sell anything forum would be busier.
18. I really look forward to reading these Mark and can't wait for the next lot! Cheers Pete
19. That's the tiniest german woman I have ever seen
20. I may well be having one of those if they get a decent review
21. Enjoyed it, congratulations on the release.
22.
Fair enough. A good place to start with this guy is his disclaimer.. https://spitfiretort...com/disclaimer/
Wow he definitely doesn't think the customer is always right! Or even sometimes right! Wonder if he gets much repeat business? He missed his vocation in pr.
