3.
Anything that costs more that 200 quid....
finally, a sensible reply !
 4.
6mm is a 1/4", so I'd say that's fine. The E string on the neck pickup has to be lower because the polepiece can suck the string downwards and create some weird sounds. If you hear anything funny then take the pickup down a little bit more.
thanks - glad to know it's not too far beyong normal. when i first got my musicman sabre the neck pickup was very close to the strings...it gave all kinds of weird overtones. but then those pickups are big !
 5. i'd say 6mm E-side and 2mm G-side. allowing for my atrocious eyesight. seems mad to me.
 6. i've had a tinker with the neck pickup on my jazz bass, and the only way i can seem to stop the e-string from being much louder that the other strings is to really angle the pickup. is this normal ? the rake of the pickup is a lot more than i've seen on pictures of other jazz basses. /ponders/
 7. did this sell ? if not i could be interested
 8. /shakes fist at sky/ curses !!! well done lemmywinks. first dibs if you sell it ? i'd love an original fortress - beautiful basses.

 11. i offer for consideration some schaller hardwear: a set of M4 tuners in black (without the fixing screws) : [s]£35[/s] £25 and a 4-string roller bridge, also in black (but with silver spacer plate) : [s]£35[/s] £25 they're in 'used' condition as they were part of a project bass i put together, but never really liked paypal only please, or a meet-up in central london

 14.
Indeed, he's rushing ahead of the beat quite a lot. Alex
plus the one nice bass sound tho.
 15.
ELO were my first 'favourite band' as a kid, and Out of the Blue was the first album I ever bought. It's full of classic songs!
plus the one. i think i spent days listening to 'out of the blue' when i was about 8 or 9...over and over again !
