Hey all!

nice intro, welcome!
4. yup, parcelforce wont insure unless the instrument is in a hardcase and in another box too, and even then its £150 max
5. i think just getting a strap that doesnt slide around would do just fine my hudson 6 string i owned had quite heavy neck dive, the body was very small and light and it had a 6 string neck...go figure, but i had a nice wide non slip strap and it never bothered me, didnt move i hate slippy straps anyways, just annoying neck dive or no neck dive
you usually say fingerboard rather than scale? is it more correct to say so?
yes it is fingerboard. Scale refers to the distance between the bridge and nut, not the material its made from
7.
HI, I might be interested does £800 seem enough? no idea what the value is rich
i lol'd im not sure on the exact value, but im thinking anything under £2000 might not be enough
8. how long have you had it?
9. he's a widnesian if he's 0151 :D:D awesome
10. the tonehammer might sort your overdrive needs too where did you order yours from?? im strongly thinking about it
11.
And Kev thanks for the contact and images, I think the bass is possibly a refinish? It doesn't have the Vigier decal on the body, but Im a Vig novice and not sure of the continuity of this??? Also the bass finish is too much of a brown burst for my liking. Dave
as far as i know the vigier body logo wasn't applied on the early passions. The guy is lying through his teeth if it is a refinish as he has told me he has owned since new. The number on the bass looks original, and i doubt they could have done a refinish without re applying that. Tis nice, but not nice enough for my picky mind!
12. if its a passion number 213, it wont be from 1984, the first passion was built in 1986 iirc, i was about to pull the plug on a sunburst passion number 025 from 1986, and i think that is a series 2, as series one were wooden neck thru's i think, and series 3's have the 90:10 ratio??, very nice bass though!
13. no i dont think musical instruments can be insured for any more than £150, full stop. You can't buy any additional insurance. Well you can, but it would be a complete waste of money when it came to claiming, as they would only give you a max of £150, and thats only when its in a hardcase AND has a thick box around it
14. cancel it then?
15. on hold til 9th
16. always try and loosen first
17. bump, come on people even if you just need a headphone practice amp or a recording interface, this is a great value unit!
18. it has a colour switch and ge and si clipping, neither of which mine had
19. oh yeah they are superb basses, but iirc their rrp's are half that of actual stingrays
20. so exactly what you were after then, considering no trades unless it was a sunburst p or j
21.
Meh, lots of people list them for stupid prices, they're £600-£650 new, so why shouldn't they be £500 in good condition used? They're worth every bit of the money i think, it's just a bad market is all.
indeed, il sell my stingray with its wooden neck for £1400 tomorrow then (listed at £1500 when new), and while im at it il shift my status neck at £300 (£400 fitted new) with current stingray prices being around £500- £600, the mind boggles as to why sub's would be selling for any more than £300 at the moment, IMO of course Edit: actually after saying that, looking at completed listings, it seems the stingray is going back up in value again, prices have been from around £600 - £800 for a regular standard 'ray, cool
